Came here alone, sat at the bar, loved every little knick knack and trinket. Got some oysters were which just so lovely and of course were plated so fun with a big ol Mary statue. Whelks were delicious. Raw scallop dish was phenomenal. It was a really lovely solo date.
The food was really good, ambiance is great, but the 5 stars are because of the service, ALL the staff were helpful, attentive, and amazing. 200% recommended, try the oysters, the 12” hotdog and the pork belly!
I organized a happy hour for my company here last week and we had a great time! The food, the drinks and the service were all great! I'll definitely believe back here with friends!
I went there to meet some friends for oysters happy hour :nnFrom 5 to 7 they have oysters for 2.50$nnWhen you first get in, you won’t really notice the ambiance, it’s packed with a bunch of little trinkets and knicks and knacks, which makes you feel like you’re in an old fishermen’s cabin / antique store.nIt’s definitely an interesting set up for a restaurant.nnYou really could spend a lot of time just looking around.nnWhen you get in, you should ask them to take your coat to the coat check because you can’t really put it on the back of your chair since you’re sitting on stools.nnThe waitresses were really kind but the food came in waves, i had my salad maybe 5 minutes before one of us received their plate and 15 minutes before we received the oysters.nnIt’s casual but you need to plan for the food not being all there at the same time.nnOnce you start eating though, it’s really something!nnThe oysters are delicious, i don’t know where they get them, don’t be fooled by the carton boxes you see them taking the oysters out of behind the counter.nThey are really fresh AND they have a ton of meat in them, they may seem small but they are really thick and delicious!nnAt one point in the evening it started to smell like if someone lighted a cigarette in the restaurants and it smelled for a while just as we got our food.nIt smelled for like 10 minutes, which was kind of weird…nnAll in all it was a good cozy experience!
What a pleasant surprise. My cousins and i weren't sure what we were feeling for dinner and we came across this place in our searching. It was a nice experience. First we got very lucky to get a seat because otherwise it was full for reservations. There is a clever selection of mixed drinks to choose from, and some regular beers as well. The food was good. It was more like tapas than meals, but that worked out fine because we like to share food. Had the fried cauliflower, whelks, pork belly, and gnocchi and they were all impressive. Make a reservation and check it out.
