Lazy Gecko The

We had a good experience here. Really brought us back to Mexico. The food was OK. The chicken in my Enchilada was plain and pretty dry but the sauces were really good. The atmosphere of the place is awesome, The service was good too but only one server on and she got pretty swammped. All in all a pretty fun time.

A great spot for some middle of the road Mexican food after a long hike. Nothing bad about the place. Service was great. Margaritas were great too. Charging what they do for chips and salsa when the chips are quite obviously from a bag and salsa that wasn’t special, not cool. If chip’s and salsa aren’t free at a spot like this, they should be house made. The slightly above average food was northwest-mex in style and flavor. Overall, a decent, three star Mexican joint.

Absolutely worth stopping by if you're in the neighborhood. The food and service were top-tier, and some very cool Mexican decor throughout. I had the taco salad, and it came with a giant edible bowl. Hell yeah.

The location is a little unusual but worth finding.nnWe started with margaritas and their chips with a hot salsa and guacamole, a great start! For meals we had shredded beef tacos hot and shrimp with mango salsa, simply put they were excellent, great flavour!!nnService was great, friendly and relaxed!nnVery reasonable prices as well!nnHighly recommend if you are in Sooke!

A very enjoyable working lunch sitting at the bar. Good service and attention by the server. Flavours of my Enchilada Verdes with Chicken were delicious. A little heat that complimented the dish well. Flavourful rice pilaf - or similar.
