Laval Passport Canada Office

The line ups can be long, processes can be complicated, but that’s nothing new in Québec. I am just glad that there is a Service Canada next to my place. It’s located in the Ste-Dorothée mega centre.

Good day everyone living in Laval Chomedey I came to this place today around 12:30 PM for my son passport before I come here, I heard we had to wait by hour , long line waiting and I lost the people in the waiting room After two hour 2:30 PM they call my number and I can't believe it How fast is it But this is the point, the officer who check my document she really amazing amazing amazing officer I have ever seen her name is Karen - sorry if I heard it wrong She really help me to fix the form , to correct the form . Very patient for my document. I really don't think people will help me like that. Usually you have to go back to fix the form by yourself. Took me 15 minutes to finished my form Pay and go Officer. Very, very bad experience over here. Iopen till 4pm running trough traffic to arrive before closing, left the work earlier but they just said we are closed. Security guy wS very rude and unprofessional. So don't leave your work in order to arrive earlier, take a day off.

Very slow. Without appointment you have to wait two hours in welcome line minimum. The stuffs are chatting and laughing Inside the glass. Than another 3 hours after you get your number.

My passport application in total took me 4 hrs and got my passport in 2 days..the organization is so good and the staff have so much patience. I had a travel date of 48+hrs and the process was very quick. Saw people you got appointment very quickly for those who were travelling end of july. The lady Eve is commendable.

The people working there are all amazing, they try to work with what they were given, my daughter had a flight in 48 hours, she was told to wait in line, and about 6 hrs later she was called in, showed her proof of travel, she was told to come back the next day at 1:00 and there it was her passport was done. All employees there were amazing, they had to deal with people screaming at them, complaining about the situation, the waiting, they were dealing with all kinds of situations, but bottom line is, they are there to do their job, it is not them who didn’t plan properly for the overwhelming demand for passports after a pandemic. To all of you working at this passport office, keep up the great work, and a very big thank you for your amazing patience and great work.

[PASSPORT PICKUP 2PM] I came here yesterday because I had to pickup my sister's Passport at 2 PM. It does not matter where you are in line, as they call people's names in a random order. In total, there were 250 people waiting to pickup their passports. After getting your name called, you come inside and there is another 2 lineups that you have to do before meeting someone at the counter. In total, it took around 3 hours of wait. I showed up at 1:40pm and was done by 4:20pm. Everyone will get their passports, do not worry about the place closing if they called you for 2PM. Yes, 3 hours may seem long but the people in there did a very great and efficient job. They can't simply give out passports without checking people's ID. I was out with my sister's passport in 2 minutes after talking to the lady. Remember that if you are picking up a passport for another adult, you need an authorization letter from them, as well as a piece of ID both you and theirs. No one was rude during the whole process and when you talk to people time goes by fast.

Really really slow, there's only a handful of people waiting, but the employees don't seem to care... Prepare to wait the whole day even if it does not look busy when you get there....

Excellent service! Updated note On May , I wanted to apply for my new passport. I read the comments about how bad they are and I was freaking out to go there, but I didn’t have any other choice . They are all nice. Security guy, receptionist, the person who did my paperwork. It took me 15 minutes to do everything! And I received my passport after 15 days. I saw many people who came without an appointment and they were staying in a line and rooms for a long time. I guess they were the people who were not satisfied with the service. I DO RECOMMEND that first, make an appointment for your request. And complete forms or any document that they will need there . It will take less time for you and them to do your request. Good luck

May 2022: Basically you’ll get your passport done without waiting if you have proof of travel within 24-72 hours, if not then you’ll have to wait if you don’t have appointment… if you travel from 72 hours to 10 business days they may not take you, there will be a wait time, anything greater than 10 business days 2weeks just come back another day… Canada website says 3-25 business days come to the office, it’s really 3-10 business days, so plan accordingly! Also the security guard is nice, people just don’t listen and cut him off LOL If you do not have an appointment and must travel within 48 hours you will most likely get your passport the same day if you show up >2 hours before it opens! Pay attention they are at a new address!
