Pulling together charm from the past, choices from the present and knowledge of books to come, Laughing Oyster Bookshop provides a pleasant and stimulating shopping experience. Whether you want a light read or a challenge, a cookbook or a children's story, you will be delighted by our extensive selection.

Wonderful independent book store. The Saturday I visited it was full of young families, and more mature customers like me ahem. Lovely store, helpful and smiling staff, and a nice selection. Found a new Bill Bryson to take home!
They've done a great job at being what a bookstore needs to be in the age of Amazon and Chapters/Indigo. They have an excellent selection and helpful, knowledgeable staff. The store is cozy but there's plenty to see.
The selection of books is more varied than at the big box stores chains. The owner is kind and willing to do leg work to ensure you get the materials you need.

I love this bookstore...a small comfortable atmosphere with warm staff and wonderful manager too. It's one of those bookstore where one can drop a lot of money because the books are all so interesting...a nice place for the littler book readers to browse as well....I would give it 6 stars!
Very warm and inviting storefront! Staff was a little standoffish.. but they did look rather busy on the phones and computers. Overall decent experience.
