Story

We offer travelers an off the beaten-path heritage travel experience, located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, a four-season playground, surrounded by the majesty of Lake Superior on one side and the rolling terrain of historic downtown Marquette on the other. Stay and play within walking distance of the shoreline, lower harbor, hiking and biking trails, unique shops, museums, galleries, theatres, a variety of locally owned and operated Eastside Dining District restaurants and entertainment. The Inn features a gracious Grand Lobby, crystal chandeliers, hand-crafted wooden walls, stained glass windows, Italian marbel floors and guest rooms that have been individually decorated with antiques and reproductions. Dine in the Northland Pub or the Piedmont Restaurant. Relax in the Northstar Lounge atop the Landmark Inn, overlooking Lake Superior. Three private dining rooms are available for groups, accommodating 10-110 guests, serving breakfast lunch and dinner daily, featuring local and regional flavors, including an extensive wine list that includes Michigan wine, brews and spirirts. Voraciously enjoyed the 6th floor bar. Crystal provided great service with a smile. The button mushrooms were top notch. The whiskey smash reminded me a of a cocktail I made years ago and brought back fond memories. The view of the lake, the fireplace, the beautiful and warming red decor. Probably just took the top seat for favorite restaurant in Marquette in my book.

Love it here! Beautiful views from the lube upstairs. The rooms have been technical enough to feel you have all of the amenities, but still maintains the charm of the older hotel.

Attended a wedding reception in the downstairs harbor room. It is nicely adorned and the food was quite tasty! It was quiet and felt private despite being below the busier upstairs.

The hotel was located very close to Lake Superior with great views to the lake and the mountains. It had a brunch and an Italian restaurant on-site, the latter we visited for a late dinner. The portions were quite small. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay and something I would definitely recommend to other travellers.

Great experience as usual. Great view out my hotel room for an incredible UP sunrise over Superior. Resteraunt and Bar downstairs are above average and priced fair.
