Days Inn Marquette

I write this review because "down state" we stayed in a Days Inn and we were very disappointed. Not only were the rooms we ordered correct, but the staff was friendly and very helpful. They even called us a cab. They are located near a great restaurant and bar. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your fine Hotel. We all be back

We have had issues with credit card charges here two times. The first time they charged our credit card for the entire stay even though we paid in cash. After two weeks of complaining they refunded the money. For some reason we decided three years later to give them another chance. However, this time the hot tub was like bath water, the sauna took forever to warm up and when we left they managed to tell us we owed them $25.00 more for our dog.

Staff was great. Housekeeping was wonderful. I was over charged and my booking of rooms was wrong. Got it fixed. Child hot tub was colder then the pool. Adult hot tub was dirty with towels, cups, and chips in and around hot tub. Rooms very small and tv worked incorrectly. I enjoyed the time with my family in close quarters but paying for the amenities that were not available at all times was disappointing.

Everything was clean the noise level was great and there were plenty of pillows. The room we had was kind of small. The breakfast we had was not as great as I had expected it to be. The only real hot food that you could have was if you made yourself a waffle and there was only one machine so you had to wait a while before you could make one.

We stayed here about three years ago and paid cash for our weekend stay and my credit card was also charged for the full stay. After a few phone calls and about two weeks I had the charges reversed. We decided this past weekend to give them another chance. However once again we left upset and will not be going back this time. When we booked the reservation we told them we had a dog. When we arrived we filled out the paperwork stating we had a dog. We were even given a dog treat bag. Once again we Paid in cash upon arrival. However when checking out I was informed we did not pay for the dog and we owed $25 more. I told them we paid in cash what we were quoted and why are we being asked at check out for more. The staff just kept repeating we owed the money. I said were you must going to charge my credit card if I didn't return the keys at checkout? She said oh no we wouldn't do that well guess what I paid her in cash and now just realized three days later my credit card was also charged. Ugh do not stay here!!! To top it off the door to our room didn't always close all the way to lock and the adult hot tub was the temperature of bath water. We are very disappointed with this motel and we will see if I ever get my money back again!!! Jen Rasmussen and Jamie Brozzo
