They treat me like gold. My doctor is extremely thorough. I feel safe in a clean environment. But listen, if you are the type to consistently show your superior power by booking and coming late or not showing, take your business elsewhere. Doctor's time is at a premium these days & you are harming others by squandering their time with your rudeness.
First off Congratulations to Dr. Woolliscroft on his retirement. I wish him the best. Having said that I have been a patient for over thirty years at LA Medical , well before Doctors today knew it existed. I chose LA Medical for reasons of location, drives while possibly ill, aging and winter. With the retirement announcement of Dr. Woolliscroft I have been told I have to find a new Doctor and that LA medical is not accepting new patients. We are old patients. The Doctor is retiring not the facility closing down. We helped LA medical through the years to become what it is today by recommendations. I feel betrayed by the LA Medical system as we are cast out the door on our own. When choosing you Doctor finding one younger than you may save anxieties and stress.
I have been a patient at LA Medical Clinic since 2001. I have seen a number of doctors in the clinic. Eventually Dr Gault became my doctor. Upon his retirement I once again have had appointments with various doctors. Recently I contacted the clinic for an appointment....only to be told they can no longer accommodate his patients. Up until now it hasn't been a problem....now I am left without a doctor....and no doctor in Leduc is accepting new patients....
We love our family doctor here. I appreciate his candidness, knowledge, and sense of humor. I often have more questions than are really needed and he sits through all of them. On the downside, the lack of hours on the weekend is very frustrating for two teachers who work out of town and can't always make it in without taking time off. I needed a 2-minute walk-in to get my meds today, because a dead car battery prevented me from getting in last night. So I'm having to go to another doctor who isn't familiar with my pills and so-on and so on. I also had a same-day appointment made online where I got the text but their software didn't inform the receptionist, and I was made to feel like it was my fault I didn't wait for the confirmation email which I had. All that being said, the receptionists are pretty good at squeezing me in for a 2-minute medication refill... but it sure would be nice to be able to do that on the weekend! Is there not enough business to justify having a couple of weekend doctors and staff?
My family doctor is wonderful and very attentive - when I actually get in on time. Without fail, every single time I or any of my family members have an appointment, we are waiting anywhere from 20 - 50 minutes PAST our appointment time. I have literally had my doctor walk in for the day 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment. Practitioners should be present 15 minutes prior to their first scheduled appointment. In addition, reception needs to learn to schedule clients in appropriately. Patients are constantly going over their allotted 15 minutes, which messes up the rest of day, and multiple clients will not get in on time, and it’s extremely annoying for somebody who waits for over half an hour then goes in for two minutes to get a prescription written up. Time management skills at this clinic are in dire need of better efficiency.
I was a patient of Dr. Michael Gault from 2010, until he retired. Reception told me that they hasnt assigned any doctors as there is no available for the time being and was okay'd with whoever doctor I was assigned with. But today, when I called and asked for available doctor even for next week, reception says that my name was in Walk In patient only which they dont have available and doesnt know until when. My situation is not really an emergency so of course I dont want to go ib emergency. I hope they can fix this problem, and at least assigned a doctor for Dr. GAULT's patient.
I have been going to Dr. Chen for years and have always felt comfortable, listened to, and thoughtfully cared for. She is a wonderful doctor and a friendly face alongside the welcoming clinic staff. Though I live in Edmonton, its worth it to drive out to Leduc for this level of personalized care and attention.
My Mom got me in at LA Medical many years ago, and I have been a patient ever since. My GP is Dr. Balko and he is awesome! He is caring, takes time to talk with his patients and is simply an incredible doctor. The front line staff is amazing, friendly and always willing to help and go the extra mile for the patients. Christine is an amazing person who personifies what her and the front line staff are all about. I have and will continue to refer to LA Medical as the best practice in Leduc. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!!!
Staffs and Physicians are great! Lately they have changed a little bit of their website. The window that you will put your info when booking online is not coming up. There is something wrong with their system. I've tried it on my desktop as well as on my phone, it is not coming up. I have to call first thing tomorrow. Please fix this!
Writing on behalf of my father. "Went there for two seperate issues on two seperate days. Easy to make appointments, no waiting, receptionist was very pleasant and awesome at her job! The doctor and both nurses that saw me were very friendly, efficient , and sure footed. Would recommend this clinic to anyone!"
