L'Étoile de Rigaud

Wow! Stopped by for the breakfast buffet, not expecting much. I was surprised at the vast choice and yummy food. 3 kinds of scrambled eggs, fried eggs, hard-boiled eggs....3 kinds of potatoes including a great mini hash brown with spices. Bacon, sausage and ham in syrup. Bean too of course. French toast, pancakes, toast, bagels, etc. There was ample fruit ( pineapple, cantaloupe, watermelon, grapes) as well as desserts like " pouding chômeur". The croissant bites un syrup were a nice discovery. At a price of $32.10 (including taxes) for two people, we will definitely make this a more regular stop when traveling between Ottawa and Montreal. It's absolutely worth the 2 minute detour from the highway.

Very friendly staff, good food but everything was a bit too salty for my taste especially the onion soup. The soup was extremely salty that I couldn't have more than two sips. After asking the staff to add hot water to the soup, I still couldn't eat it.

I ordered a pizza and onion rings for delivery and it came 1h37 minutes after I called. Even if it was a long wait the food was good.

Food was great as well as the service. They were very pleasant despite my lack of French skills.
