Kung Fu Chinese Restaurant

This is hands down the best Chinese food in the metro area. The food never disappoints, and the portions are massive. In the 7 or 8 times we've ordered there I've never had any mistakes with our order, and like I said, it tastes amazing. It can take awhile for your order to be made, which is mainly due to how popular this place is. Keep up the great work guys!

We had a great take out meal for 14 people. Tons of food, all of it very tasty. It was too bad they didn’t tell us that they had already included the tip in the total when they handed me the machine to pay. I was cued to provide a tip, you know the drill. 10%, 15% or 20%. On a take order of $300 it seemed fair to give a 10% tip. We don’t begrudge a tip but because they had already added on a tip they ended up with a $60 tip on an order which was 30 minutes late. They can do better. 2nd review. If you didn’t add a extra tip then you overcharged us by $30. Either way, you can do better.

Very impressed with this business. They accidentally overcharged me for my excellent meal and called me to reimburse me. Being from the Toronto area not used to this honesty. Thank you so much. If I'm back in the area this will definitely be a go too.

Gone downhill. Used to be delicious. Last three times recently, the food has tasted less flavorful, smaller portions, and the rice and wings not only cold but like it was made days ago. Stale....is it new cooks?...new owners?....re used food now? Been many times but won't return anymore. Letdown cuz I loved the place and it's nearby.

This chinese takeout is a hidden jewel. If you want delicious North American style Chinese food, this is the place to go. The portions are large, the prices fair, service fast and friendly, and the food tastes great!

It is with a heavy heart that I Kung Fu a three star review. They are by far the best Chinese food restaurant in St. John's. Their biggest problem is a time management issue and providing their orders on time. There have been at least four times where I have order up to two hours in advance and I still have to wait 30 to 45 minutes when I go pick up my food. This kind of ruins the experience for me, because I am even ordering with plenty of time. The same thing will happen if you use Skip the Dishes with them, their food will often been over 30 minutes of what it posts as ETA on Skip. So yeah, best Chinese Food in town, if you have the patience for headaches associated with getting the food, even if you order in advance.

We had food ordered to be ready at 6:00. Arrived at 5:45 to be told they were a half hour behind. At 6:30 we were told another 15min and still didn’t get food till well past that. Not sure why the wait times were lied about but it’s unacceptable. Had we been told the truth it would have been fine, but clearly they didn’t care. I don’t recommend.

Not the cheapest, but is competitively priced. Seems very fresh and excellent food. Good sized portions too. I think its owner operated, and the staff are very polite and friendly. Highly recommend.

Such a ridiculous place; they won’t let you use their washrooms while pickup by putting up “Out of Order signs.” Upon asking the lady at the cash counter, she said we never use bathrooms while working. They need to learn how to care and respect their customers. The washroom is a fundamental human right for everyone!!

Waitress very nice but didn’t know the difference between chow Mein and chop suey. Also I order beef and broccoli in stead of chop suey . . That left a bad taste in my mouth . Sorry I don’t usually leave bad comments but this just wasn’t good .
