Dong Fong Restaurant

Just had the chicken guy ding as part of a combo. Best I ever had. Broccoli florets, celery, green pepper. onion, carrots and of course chicken and cooked to perfection. I don't know if their cooking is consistent or not but this evening it was excellent.

Your typical ma and pa takeout. Food has always been delicious and they always give a good portion size. Inexpensive, which seem rare these days.

Good food but I can never get an order in. Tried calling 3 different days this week multiple times between 4-7pm and never got an answer once...

Food was good WAS NOT informed there was NO EAT IN until after we ordered AND PAID..plastic flowers EXTREMELY dusty..and NO WASHROOMS..they could at least have a TAKE OUT ONLY NOTICE posted on door..food was tasty but EXPENSIVE for amount given.

The BEST Chinese Food in St. John's. This place might not be much to look at, but don't let that deter you, this place has the best Chinese Food in the area by far. Friendly Customer Service, fair prices and delicious food make for a great combination! I live in Paradise and would gladly drive past other Chinese Takeout's for a feed at Dong Fong Restaurant. They Sweet and Sour sauce is by far the best I have ever had.

Very inexpensive. That doesn't mean it's bad. It's actually very tasty and a pleasant surprise. CASH only tho. So keep that in mind. Decor is wickedly dated, and it's very dimly lit if you plan on eating in. However, it's clean, excellent customer service and staff is quick too! You get a lot for your money.

One of the best places for Chinese food in the city. If you're getting take out call ahead and order it as there's usually a 15 to 20 minute wait, especially on weekends. Cash only

I want to say that this restaurant is a huge part of my childhood and newfoundland memories. When i think of home this is certainly one of the things i think of. Growing up in kilbride i loved getting nan to order me some dong fongs.

Not exciting; very basic and cash only. But food was hot and tasty, and the chow mein was not 80% cabbage and onion, like so many places.
