Kum-Yon's Restaurant

The food is not as good as it use to be. This use to be my favorite place. The original owner was such a good person, I knew her personally and I worked there for some time. She made this restaurant amazing. However this new owner fired one of their faithful chefs who cooked the food everyday they were open. This person makes the best Asian food and has been cooking their food for the past 8 or more years. Out of nowhere the new owner fired him with no warning and left him with no time to find a job. She did it because she got her family to come cook for her. How could she give no warning and leave someone with children and bills jobless?! This use to be such a wonderful place but with this terrible owner and her choices I will never eat here again.

Great experience all the way around. Friendly staff, great food, decent prices. Can't complain about anything.

I just have to say I don't know what family relatives/friends wrote the previous reviews. I feel so devastated because I'm such a food Guru but this was not authentic. I have the beef teriyaki which was pretty much a steak cut up. I expected thinly sliced beef w steamed or fried rice, but the rice wad over-cooked and almost mushy. The ONLY thing that was good, was the veggies on my plate, they were fresh and crispy . My daughter got the California roll lunch special, that alone was a joke ! it was like a fruit platter with a sample of California roll LOL . I do think that they have good customer service, I have no complaints about that, but maybe I'm demanding but I would expect the waitress to let me know when I ordered a $3 Shirley temple, but I ended up getting a cup filled with ice with two cherries with a splash of sprite LOL, and I was desperately wanting a refill but I guess that's "the only drink " that they don't do refills on, i wish I would have had been warned . As far as the garden that is mentioned in a post and the pictures that are displayed, I realized that 99 if not 100% of the plants are not real they're just those plastic ones that collect dust so I don't know why someone mentioned a garden but you would have to visit it to experience my truth. I am dead serious about my review I seriously just letting the world know to be warned about the previous reviews .

Edible but nothing I couldn't make without premade sauce.

Has made a comeback was always our favorite since it opened. Then food was not as good. We recently came back and was so happy quality of food had returned.
