Kris' Fish & Chips

Service was friendly and very helpful and accommodating. We had fish tacos and 2 orders of pickerel and chips. We choose sweet chili and the topping for the fish tacos and they were very good! Loved the fish tacos. The pickerel fish, we choose battered. It was good. We enjoyed it - flaky, crunchy, tasty but a little greasy. The tartar sauce was very mid. Coleslaw was good, crisp veggies, maybe a little too vinegary. The chips were ok - not very crispy, kinda soggy and greasy. They would probably be very good as leftovers where they get pan fried and home the next day. I would recommend Kris' Fish & Chips. Good place for a meal.

We have been going to Kris' Fish & Chips for 12 years now, in the 12 years, they have never even skipped a beat. 100% perfection every time.... Today was no exception.

Loved the fish here! I’m a big fan of seafood, and this place really delivered. The local fish was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and with a super cool wall full of paper money from around the world. Staff were really friendly too. Definitely a great spot if you visit Gimli.

Stumbled on this place on the way back from our cabin trip. Our haddock was good but the fries and onion rings were way too oily and you could taste the oil wasn't changed for a while. Also, I don't understand the concept of piling on 500g of fries on a single dish. Way too much even for two people.nnWaters weren't refilled, didn't feel welcomed overall.nnCute interior though.nnI wouldn't come back.

Recommended by the locals. Saturday at 1 PM lineup out the door and only one table available. Good ice cream! Pre-season June staffing is light, too bad.nOverall enjoyable.
