Kozy Sushi

The experience lives up to its name, Cozy. Although the location was very busy during my visit the service was top notch, and the chef ensured my palate was satisfied. This is a pay per portion menu, the salmon was excellent, melt in your mouth buttery, and the ratio of fish to rice for the sushi was very good. Will definitely be back to try some more dishes. We were really excited to try this Japanese restaurant as it's really close to us and has excellent reviews. We were happily shocked by the portion of the food. We didn't order very much or at least that's what we had thought but we ended up taking half of the food home because we couldn't finish. The presentation was phenomenal. We also really liked the food but we generally prefer less sauce on the torched sushi. The service was excellent. The server was very attentive and ensured to fill up our cup of green tea regularly. It's definitely a great value based on the price, quality and portion.

Kozy Sushi is a hidden gem! We tried Kozy Sushi for the first time this week and definitely recommend! We ordered the Veggie Udon, Chicken Karaage, Salmon Pressed Sushi, and Black Dragon Roll. The ingredients were very fresh and it also came with complimentary soup & salad. The staff were very pleasant and kind. The restaurant is fairly new and the inside is very clean with a calming ambiance. We didn't know they had a seating area so definitely going to try dining in next time.

Excellent service from very friendly staff. The food is delicious and well presented. The owner even made a point to come and ask how the food was in the middle of the meal. From hot and fresh takoyaki to a surprise seared tuna 'press' sushi with truffle mayo, everything was incredible. No question about it, we will definitely be coming back to this establishment. Wow! Not only is the presentation amazing, the food is also delicious and evidently high quality. We loved the variety of fish presented in the sushi/sashimi combo, and very thoughtful toppings for different fish varieties. It's a feast for the eyes, and the stomach

This is the best sushi we have had in Ontario so far! All ingredients were fresh and great quality. The place is very cozy, clean, tasteful decor and a great spot to hang out and eat. The staff was nice, polite and welcoming. The chef is fabulous! We will definitely come back to this location.

I literally just picked up food from Kozy and it’s so good. I’ve been waiting for them to open since I saw their sign go up in the winter time. Their torched sushi and black dragon maki were A+. I’m so glad we finally have a good sushi option in this area! Their vibes reminds me of project fish in north york. Friendly owners and good service.

After seeing their sign up for some time, they are finally open! Their food presentation is really nice, and their sushi is spot on and so fresh. Especially surprised with their pressed sushi, as it is better than many places i’ve tried downtown. This is our new goto sushi spot! Highly recommended.

This place was seriously amazing. I’m from Toronto and get sushi quite frequently probably more times than I should a week and wish this place was in the city because I would order from them all the time. The fish was SO fresh - I believe I overheard the chef say that they get the fish whole and filet it in-house. The service is excellent as well. Please do yourself a favour and go here!! You won’t regret it! I will definitely be coming back soon.

This is the first time I have ordered from here. Me and my family just stopped bybecause we found now open sign and tryed it, and exceeded my expectations. Generous portions with extremely fresh ingredients for sushi and it melted in the mouth just as it should. Such great flavours, definitely worth a vist again. And the restaurant itself is modern, clean and with good services. I'm glad that I just found gastro restaurant in Newmarket:
