Kiwa Korean Restaurant

This is one of my favourite restaurant in the south Winnipeg. It’s clean, and quite. The staff are very friendly. The food is always good. We had Kimchi pancake, fried chicken, Japchae and some other dishes tonight and they were all delicious and fresh. The only thing I was a little surprised was about the small side dishes. We were told refills would be charged which seemed a little different from our experience before. But it was understand able because the food price has been increased a lot recently. I recommend this restaurant if you like authentic Korean food.

Lots of parking - easy to find restaurant on Pembina Hwy. Dine in and take out available. Nice ambiance. Tables were well spaced out. I am not an expert on Korean cuisine, but we did enjoy our meal here. Had never tried Kimchi before. Interesting side dish. Really liked the sprout side mini salad. We had the L.A. Galbi L.A Beef Short rib with vegetables BBQed; Bulgogi Chicken Chicken with vegetables BBQed and Yum-Yum Mandu Deep fried Pork dumpling, Korean Sweet & Spicy Sauce. It came with three mini sides - the sprout salad, Kimchi, and seaweed salad. The food was well prepared. Definitely different flavours that were new to me. Interesting place to try if you like Korean food.

Superb service from the moment we walked into this establishment. Food was a 4.5 out of 5, but service was outstanding 5/5. The cold noodles were just a bit too saucy and salty for our liking but the pork donkatsu/kimchi fried rice as well as gamjatang were fantastic! By far the cleanest washrooms in an Asian food establishment I have ever seen. Kudos Kiwa, we will be back to try more things on your extensive menu!

We had a great time here today! Staffs were so friendly and the restaurant looks clean. Hubby and I ordered Gamjatang and Jokbal, both tasted so yummy. However Gamjatang came out not bubbling hot as I expected. Ordered a tonkatsu kids meal for my little one and he liked it. They were very thoughtful about adding kids meal to the menu makes it a kid-friendly restaurant. They makes it not salty at all which I really appreciate since I dont want my baby to eat heavy seasoning food as many other restaurants kids menu. Will be back! :

Every dish was delicious. Servers were friendly and helpful. Pricier than others but worth it

Service and meals taste are great but the price a little bit highly out of proportion to meals. Anyway it is the best Korea restaurant in Winnipeg.

Very good service even though the hostess spoke little English. However, Korean staff makes me feel the atmosphere here is authentic. Main course is very tasty and with generous portion. Side dishes are not salty so they can go very well with the main courses without ruining my taste buds. I had a good experience overall.

Great selection of stew Korean soup ! Location is very clean and feel very home-y. Taste 10/10, customer service 10/10 .

Ordered the big pot of pork bone soup. Thought it was the best I've had in the city, and very comparable to soup I've had in bigger Canadian cities such as Toronto. Make sure you give it a try! Parking: Parkings great but in the south end, will need to drive
