Sudden plans are the best. Got out to have something light and ended up having the best Japanese and Korean food They got this cute menu where you can see how the food will look like which is literally the same. Service was amazing and people were very friendly. We had the Deep fried chicken dumplings, creamy tempura and mt Fuji. Overall experience 9/10 So far the best sushi place ever!
Momo's has been consistent throughout the years I have gone here. I have tried many of the sushi rolls and they have always been good. However, the rolls are quite small. My favorite korean dish would be the jeyuk bokkeum, it's packed with flavor and comes with a couple sides.Food: 4/5
Just had a terrible experience, one of my Miso soup containers was not closed, it spilt in the bag. My Volcano roll at $20.25 ruined. The roll was spicy chopped scallops toped with spicy tuna, tiny roll, cucumber added for fullness. Called to let them know, she said sorry. Price vs. quality sure has changed over the years
One of the best sushi places I've tried in Winnipeg. The Philadelphia Roll is amazing. The drizzle of hot mustard is a nice touch. Very busy though.
I am very disappointed at the amount of food they give in each of the dishes. I ordered pick up and the food amount was not even close to the quality of the price. 15 dollars! Jaeyuk bokum meat was so small. At least the taste was better then the quality of the food.
Recently I discovered this place is the only restaurant that serves Korean marinated crab-so happy I get to have my crab fix without having to make it myself. The other Korean items on the menu are quite tasty as well, however I can’t say I was impressed by the sushi rolls. I came here years ago for dine in to try the sushi, and was disappointed at how small some of their rolls are. Years later I decided to give it another try, and they are still very cheap with portions. For reference, I usually only stick to regular/maki rolls, I’ve noticed their special rolls are bigger, of course as they cost more. I can see myself becoming a regular customer here solely for their crab.
Really bad experience. I was here for lunch and after my boyfriend need to work. We waited for 45mins after order the food. I already done my food but my boyfriend’s still not cooked! And the customer later than us already started eating, their food are really, but they skip us to serve others. Even for later, when we ask , the server told us they forgot it! ?? How come? Never goes again!
Good Korean food however it could be better if they could serve Korean or Japanese short rice. Clean place, service was great and quick. Wish they had a coat rack or something to hang jackets.Food: 4/5
They are extremely stingy with the Korean side dishes, indicating one shared plate per table is their “policy”. When we asked for a refill, they only provided 2 pieces of potatoes. I have been going here for many years and it’s evident the change in management is for the worse.
This review is for their Japanese food we went at lunch. Did not try the Korean. This is also an initial review. It's a good decent lunch for a respectable price. Everything we had tasted fine. It was just nothing stood out. There are better lunch bentos in the city at that price point but I'm not sure about nearby. Service was friendly and polite. Furniture is a bit worn. You can see the tables have cuts in them. Most are right where a person would be sitting. It's still a comfortable place to sit in. Parking is available in a large lot, but it can fill up as the businesses are popular.
