Soooo much selection here for many types of fish. Fish selection downstairs is fantastic: the kids like just visiting. Tons of variety of supplies for almost any type of pet. Not limited in scope like many of the retail chains are.

Good little store. Wish the staff were a little friendlier. I came here to buy some fresh water fish. I did notice some dead fish floating in quite alot of the tanks. I told the guy working there who then removed them. They have quite a few selection of fresh and salt water fish. Prices are decent, not the cheapest compared to pet smart.

Good deals and they had live feed for various pets which was what I was looking for. Great aquatic center downstairs.
The aisles are a bit cramped but they have a ton of stuff.
Parking is available on the street out front or on the side of their building.

Got suckered in with the boxing day sale on fish again. Watching them all die in my established nurse tank. Every time. Hopefully I have learned my lesson. Fish at pet smart are more money but they live.

Today, I visited Kind Ed Pet Centre to buy some crickets. The plan was to drop in quickly, scoop seven to fifteen crickets, then leave. I remembered that they have a minimum purchase amount for debit or credit cards, so carried my jingle in with me. If you've ever watched a really bad independent thriller film with a chase scene, you may recognize the stuffiness, piles of cages, and bizarre people popping out from around corners. The crickets are kept in the lower cellar, at the far back, behind what looks like a storage area and emergency escape hatch. That said, the woman who works back there is absolutely delightful, in a 'nod-your-head-and-smile' way. She always asks if you're interested in a snake they just got in, rather surreptitiously, giving the place a Romanian black-market feel. She knows and loves her critters, though. Partway through giving me a plastic bag with seven crickets (I asked for fifteen), she noticed aloud that the shelves were dirty, and started wiping them down with a filthy rag. I finished the job and left while another cricket-hunter arrived to distract her. However, this whole ordeal is my own fault, I must admit. I bought a tarantula as a desk-pet to irritate a co-worker and now that he's gotten used to it, the silly thing costs me a few bucks and trip down the rabbit hole every few weeks. 4 out of 5 stars.
