My family and I visited this campground as visitors recently. We were visiting my nephew his wife and kids who were camping there. The owners were so rude to us, telling us to get off their property as they do not allow guests. We pointed out to their sign clearly posted that said guests were allowed but costs $10-$15. They said it was only for seasonal campers. They need a lesson on customer service - they told our kids to go with your parents and get out of here. My family member mentioned to me about writing a review and the male owner heard and started telling us we threatened to give them a bad review and told my niece who was camping there that if we give them a bad review they would get kicked out. It was a bad experience with very rude people. A simple conversation was all that was required. They bullied my niece and nephew after we left and also blamed them for their friend, who had booked a site paid for it but didn’t show up. I would never stay here and needless to say my family will not be going there again. I can’t express just how rude they were to us and we were only there to visit.
I would not recommend this campsite. I took my family to visit my brother who was staying there and when we arrived we were told very abruptly that there were NO VISITORS although the signs stated otherwise and we were going to pay as the visitors notification stated. The owners told us to wait in the front for our family to come outside the gate to meet us which is what we did. I have 3 children 2, 3, and 4 year old and we had traveled almost 2 hrs to get there and 1 of the kids needed to use the bathroom. My brothers daughter who was staying there took my child in the gate to use the bathroom and the owners came running out the door yelling at my 3 year old and my brothers daughter to GET OFF OF THEIR PROPERTY!! the owners then came over to us and started yelling and staring arguments with myself and my family. I was discusted on how these people would treat others especially to yell and scare little children. If there is somewhere to call to report this behavior please advise.
Great owners that work hard to keep up the campgrounds plus make improvements. Very nice shaded lots able to fit large RV's. Very secure with a gated entry. Recommended.
Nice tall mature maple trees..good size sites..hard working owners that keep the park looking fabulous
The campground is a great place to relax for the weekend. The price is right and owners are friendly. There's always lots of planned events on the long weekends.
CUSTOMER SERVICE : I was here as a visitor. The staff were extremely rude, short fused and started yelling about situations that could have been resolved with a simple, calm conversation without raising their voices. They owners need a lesson on appropriate customer service if they would like real, positive reviews. Unfortunately they bully people into deleting any poor reviews and threaten to evict their guests if a poor review is posted. I would suggest working on their customer service approach to receive accurate and positive reviews. All the positive reviews are only here because of threats made against the negative reviews. I will never stay here as a guest so don't need to worry about being banned from this camp ground. PROPERTY: Camp ground was clean, however, extremely close together with no privacy. There was an electrical fire in the washroom which was dealt with. Unfortunately there was limited staff available to get ice and fire wood.
We stayed at this camp for five days. Four nights. We stayed in a little wooden cabin. The owners are very friendly plus accommodating you just have to be respectful of the park. Treat the park like your home. They are working so hard to improve this park. The park is very clean and very quiet with lots of nice seasonal people. We will be back there for sure. We also purchased wood and it was very reasonable and dry wood!!! Great job owners keep up the great work.
Friendly staff and wonderful other people staying there. Good burning fire wood and beautiful cute little cabins. Clean, family friendly environment. Absolutely amazing stay over all.
I visited the camp ground twice this season. Once at the beginning and once midway through the season and couldn't believe the transformation over a short period of time. The new owners have worked really hard this season rejuvenating the park and ensuring all publicly used facilities are back up to proper working order i.e. pool, washrooms, etc. The park looks fresh and clean compared to years past and has a welcome feel to it. In both my experiences the new owners have been amazing and willing to accommodate your needs where possible. If the office is closed they are easily accessible by phone and/or can likely be found in the campground working away. Themed activities are running through the park on a weekly basis and it provides a great opportunity for the seasonal and daily campers to interact. Late night wood runs to ensure the fire keeps burning and Sunday morning coffee time are nice touches to ensure campers continue to return beyond their first experience and make it a tradition for years to come.
My fiancé and I had the pleasure of camping at this wonderful place this past weekend. We loved it . The owners were great and so was the atmosphere. We are looking forward to returning. We almost did not go here because of other bad reviews I read . After being there and experiencing this place for myself I a convinced the bad reviews were left out of spite by selfish people who could not follow rules or respect other campers or the owners .
