Awesome lake and campground. Only 2 sites open for overnight camping the rest are all seasonal. Only stayed 1 night and came in on short notice so overall I would definitely recommend if you can get in!

We stayed at Bass Lake Park for 5 nights this August.
Grounds: Beautiful place, well manicured and maintained. There are 2 transient sites and the rest are seasonal. All of the sites are gravel based. At first I wasn't sure if I liked that but now I'm sold. Keeps the mosquitoes down and is easier to maintain and after a full day of pouring rain your listening a mess. There were dog poop deposit stations throughout the park which I though we're a great idea. Mature trees make for mostly shady but some sunlight slips through.
Lake: It's a spring fed lake and it's crystal clear. Most parts are weedy at the shore but Then it drops right off. Its on average a very deep lake. We caught largemouth bass, rock bass, perch, and tons of sunfish. Dock down at the beach was great. You can take a chair down and enjoy the sun or use one of the chairs that's down there already. You have to climb stairs though. 43 of them. If you have bad knees you can maybe just enjoy looking at the lake rather than being at it. There is no beach or area to walk into the water really but you can jump right off the dock. Water toys were great also.
Amenities: All sites have full hook up and very nicely built heavy-duty picnic tables. Also have fire pits. The washrooms were clean. We didn't really use them much but I think you have to pay for the showers. Laundry is available. WiFi is also available. Dog park and volleyball/horseshoe area was also clean and accessible. We rented the boat which was a 14' tinny with a 5 horse Honda on it (if I remember correctly). Was plenty enough to get the job done. We don't have children so I'd not usually pay much attention to the playgrounds but this one seemed fun looking.
People: Wayne and Christy were great. They answered all of our questions and made us feel at home. Wayne took plenty of time taking us on a tour of the place and answering questions about seasonal sites, the escarpment and surrounding area etc. Everyone that passed us in the park was super friendly.
Bottom line: A great park. Not too big, mature trees, crystal clear lake and very frienly people. I would definitely go back!
