Ki-Isu Japanese Restaurant

We ordered 2 miso soup, rainbow, cream cheese roll, dynamite roll, smoked salmon roll, tempura and hot sake. We loved the taste but not their looks. I recommend this place since it has great service, friendly staffs and delish Sushi. Oh wait! hot Sake was awesome.

This place was a lovely surprise. Its cozy and comfortable. The staff is friendly and attentive. the food was very nice and also wasn't too long of a wait. Overall a great experience.

It's a cozy little restaurant in downtown Vancouver for Sushi lovers. Good ambience and very friendly service. Had a vegetarian lunch special and it was so filling! I have tried this place few times now and would highly recommend it.

I check in here couple times, the quality is good and I usually order launch boxes that are combinations of greens, teriyaki & sushi’s. I ordered meso soup & spicy salmon sashimi that was delicious but small portion. The bill is $20 before tip

We ordered two miso soup, Salmon/Avocado roll, California roll, Spicy Salmon roll and Edemame as a Pick up To-Go order. When we arrived home it was a big mess in the carry-out bag. The miso soup had spilt all inside the bag. As a business you want to make sure when the order is "TO-GO" you package accordingly. That is your responsibility. We got home and half the miso soup was gone, our chop-sticks soaking wet and a mess on our hardwood floor. It had been so simple to prevent this. Bag the liquids or at least tape it or elastic band it. The sushi itself was not that great. It was tasteless and bland. I couldn't figure out why the salmon in the salmon roll was a different colour than the salmon in the spicy salmon and salmon/avocado roll? The miso soup what was left of it was also stale and just not enough taste and barely any soy. I wouldn't go back. Especially since Vancouver is a sushi city!

What is my go to sushi place? I absolutely just love it here. The prices are reasonable and the food is fantastic.

Little hole in the wall with fresh and tasty sushi; it's definitely better than average and the price is right. The Aburi tuna stack was absolutely delicious. The space itself is quite cramped and not particularly appealing though.

Extremely impressed with the quality of the sushi rolls - I tried takeout from Ki Isu for a change from my favourite sushi place. I think I've found a new favourite! The Buddha's Favourite roll was delicious, for a vegetarian roll. And the vegetable combo avocado & cucumber roll, vegetable roll and yam roll was the best vegetarian roll combo I've ever had! Highly recommended! UPDATE APR 2021: Having eaten here many times now mostly takeout... I have to comment on the friendly service I always receive!

The server is nice and the food comes out quick. It’s a very basic normal sushi restaurant. The washroom can be small and only 1 stall. The price is pretty average and the portion is average as well. Not too many variety but you can have basic sushi. Not the best, not the worst.

Ain’t gonna lie, sorta cheesed they packed the dinner box B off the menu, but this place is an absolute staple for downtown Vancouverites tryna get delicious sushi with big portions and good prices. Been eating at kisu for the better part of a decade, always great service. Support your local businesses! P.s the miso SLAPS
