Karas Egyptian Restaurant

After checking local spots, I am so happy I found this amazing restaurant. My family and I got a Family Platter and other side dishes. Everything was cooked to perfection. The lamb was tender, juicy and tasty. The lentil soup was very savoury. The customer experience is 20/10. The restaurant is very clean including their washroom. I highly recommend it as the best Egyptian Food in the city!

Really GREAT food! This is a family-owned restaurant and it's evident that they put a lot of love and dedication to the food that they make. We had their chicken and kabob takeout combo and the grilled chicken came out PERFECT. Their chicken was charred the right amount while still being very juicy and flavorful! I also really liked their sauces which gave a lot of variety to my eating experience. Well we were waiting for our takeout the owner, Sherie, chatted with us and she was extremely friendly. The wait time for our takeout was also very short, I'd definitely recommend this place!!

My friend and I ordered koshari freshly prepared, molokheya perfectly cooked, lamb shank fatta the lamb was falling off the bone, fresh, and delicious, bechamel macaroni piping hot and made to order, mumbar, and caramel desert, with two mango juices fresh and full of mango chunks. The chef Sherine was very welcoming and sweet. She treated us like family. I have been trying to find a good place to try authentic Egyptian cooking for over two years and I finally found the perfect place! Will definitely go back!

Had their koshary plate and it was delicious. Very nostalgic Egyptian street food for someone like me who is from Egypt. Staff are also very friendly. I love that I am also so close to this place so I'll definitely be back to try more menu items :

Karas is a new restaurant discovery for us and is so worth it. My sister was looking for a restaurant to celebrate an anniversary. We love trying other cuisines and decided to go try out this place that serves Egyptian and Mediterranean food.  It wasn't that busy the day we went there and got to meet Sherine who was so welcoming, nice and friendly and even took the time to explain some of the dishes we were not familiar with. Sherine and her husband, Albert, both chefs, own the restaurant.  She also mentioned that some Saturday nights there is live entertainment. We tried their Beef Liver Alexandria Style Plate, Grilled Chicken Plate and Fried Calamari. All the dishes were delectable. The liver was done so well that there is none of the bitter taste and was so delicious. The chicken was juicy, flavourful and charcoal grilled to perfection.  We were also given some hot sauce which was made by the restaurant. One can feel the pride and love that the owners have put in this restaurant and expressed in their cuisine. We will surely go back to this place to try other dishes and will definitely be the venue for the planned celebration.

Koshary excellent presentation and taste. The Steak, Chicken and Kofta were great. On the 29th January 2022 we visited Karas مطعم مصري could not dine in but ordered and picked the food up. On our drive home I could smell the authentic Egyptian grill in the car.The Egyptian green salad smell was to be recognized as well this is no exaggeration! We loved the food adults and children too.

I came with my wife and enjoyed it very much. We always like visiting new places and this place stood out. The food is absolutely amazing and flavourful. Amazing family running the restaurant and we appreciate the hand who made this food

Authentic Egyptian food! Everything tastes delicious!! The mombar, hawawshi & boneless grilled chicken are top choices for our family.

New place. Great ambiance. Very friendly team. Amanda and Ibrahim were very nice. We tried Alexandria liver dish, Hawashi and Kofta sandwitches. They were really tasty. We will be back! Parking: Available free parking.

Love this place a lot! Their Lamb Shack Rice is the best I have ever tried! Staffs are super friendly. Definitely will go again!
