Border MX Mexican Grill

This is a hidden gem in Streetsville will so much charm, and hospitality. The decor is simple and not flashy, but the food and service are stellar. Everything is fresh, very authentic Mexican fare, and made with love. Yes it might take a bit of time for the food- but this isn’t Taco Bell it’s MADE TO ORDER FOOD. It takes time to make, and the flavour is amazing. My favorite is the Evil Shrimp, and the Volcan which is nice to share with someone. Also- they have fish tacos that are simply the best ever. Nothing frozen- just fresh. We love the servers who are always running around making people happy. Especially with the pandemic that has effected small businesses they are trying very hard to make it a good experience. Just pack some patience and kindness, and sit back and enjoy the BEST Mexican food in Streetsville.

The food was not too bad there, the authentic Mexican feel is amazing. You do get that experience like you were actually outside of Canada. The patio is not the greatest and definitely needs an overhaul, we were sat right beside the storage area and the garbage we were probably the best dress people there. You can actually see the garbage in the photo lol They said they had to look at reservations and the place wasn’t really that busy. The patio feels pinched and cluttered but the menu is immerse and has depth to it. Great place to bring the boys or really close friends for some authentic Spanish food and to have some drinks during the day. Servers: were respectful and courteous, she gave a lot of options. Service time: 6-9 minutes , we did have to wait for a while but could’ve been a strategy to allow us more time to order. Food time: once we ordered the food came extremely fast and the temperature was quiet good. Recommendation: Check the menu before you head over there

Favourite place for authentic Mexican food! I especially love the horchata here. It has a kind, welcoming energy and a great patio for a hot summer day. I swear when I sat outside last time, I heard so many passers by just pointing at the place being like “BORDER MX…we gotta eat here”—so you know it def keeps the locals interested too!

Cool patio! Food is really really good. The sauces are full of flavour. Service was ok... They were out there of a few items, but that does seem to be more common these days... So giving 5 stars.

Food is pretty good and a cozy and chill atmosphere. Street corn is an absolute must try, best thing on the menu. Birria tacos were quite good but personally could have used a bit more cheese. Also tried the fish tacos and one of the chicken tacos which were ok. Nachos platter was ok but too overloaded with beans for my liking.staff were friendly but we went on a Saturday night so once it got busy service started falling really short. Also dessert was absolutely delicious, had churros and flan. I’d def go back. It’s a really fun place to meet with friends and have a good time.

I have never been to a better Mexican Place than this. I absolutely loved everything I ate in this restaurant. The customer service was so so sooooo good. I love this place. I ordered tamarind homemade drink, street corn which was an absolute delish, Veggie Tostadas, Enchiladas and Flautas. Absolutely best quality food. No comparison in whole GTA. Definitely recommend anyone and everyone to go and try the place, they make your dayy the besttttttttttttt with bestestt food and phenomenal customer service. Have never been so happy in my life after dining at a place before. Absolutely love it.

Drink sizes were a pleasant surprise and they tasted great. These tacos beat anything I ate at the resort on my trip to Mexico AND are probably the best I've had anywhere in Ontario.Food: 5/5

The Fish Tacos were the best! Crunchy batter and fish that just melts in your mouth! The Evil Shrimps wasn’t that great but everything else was a perfect 5!

Nice place!!. I've tried other Mexican restaurants in Toronto, but I have always been disappointed because the food can have a whatever taste, but less Mexican; but this restaurant actually has an authentic Mexican flavour. I lived in Mexico City for 14 years, so I know the authentic Mexican taste. I recommend this place 100 %, especially the birria tacos and tacos Al pastor too.

My partner and I have been on the hunt for some delicious birria tacos in Mississauga, and we both agree that this place is IT! The service was fast and the food was nice and hot. The nachos with chicken were so good. We liked the fact that they used bean paste instead of whole beans because it spreads more evenly on the nachos. We wish there were more jalapeños to add a bit more heat. The birria tacos were to die for. Our expectations were met and we will definitely go back here again. We also ordered the birria ramen which was packed with flavours from the birria broth. One comment my partner and I made was that we both wished it the hot sauce was a lot spicier, but overall, it was a great experience - great food and great service.
