Ottawa finally got halal Italian/Steak cuisine. I’ve tried Kara Mia in Toronto plenty of times and this was my first time here in Ottawa. Ambiance at this restaurant was lovely, dark interior, accent lightning all around. Onto the food, we tried different pasta/ chicken and I would say some dishes are tastier than others. Saffron poutine is definitely a staple item on their menu, highly recommend! Peppercorn chicken lacked seasoning and was bland. The Cajun pasta wasn’t spicy but at least it had plenty of sauce. Service was spot on! They were vigilant and food came out quickly after order. The staff was very nice. Overall, it’s worth checking out.
It's was a clean nicely designed restaurant and very helpful full waiters but they are amateur. I can't make the same comments for the main dishes. Soup was good, meat that wasn't good as I was expecting. I got ribeye steak it was so tiny that wasn't cook right I ask medium they bring medium-well as I ask for corrected yea they did corrected. Second meat they bring a rear I think chef needs more trained about cooking a steak. I am doing valuation base on price and reputation and test I can shortly say this a regular restaurant food is mid-range but the design luxury.
Fine dining, good value, kind service. This is my second time here, with my family. The tables are properly spaced, gives you enough privacy to enjoy your time. Food is prepared fresh. Meat carefully cooked. 5 year son thinks it was the “bestest pasta” he ever ate. Would love to come again. Thanks!
Ordered the Steak with Peppers as you can see in the picture I got like one pepper and so much sauce which was disgusting had to scrap it off. I asked for Caesar Salad no Bacon. Was so confused when the waitress showed up with a bowl of lettuce. She said the bacon was in the dressing. Was also confused about the bacon since it's supposed to be a "Halal" restaurant. I asked if there was another dressing and she looked at me and said nope. My bill for the steak the shrimp and garlic bread was $78 that's insane!!! Over priced. The worst part of it all I got the worst stomach ache. Not sure if it was from the sauce on the steak or the shrimp. The point is I will not be coming back. Also customer service was terrible seemed like they all wanted to go home which was funny since the restaurant opens at 4 and closes at 9.
First time coming to this halal Italian restaurant. Nice cozy and friendly vibe. Good location easy to find with ample free parking. Everything is also priced fairly compares to other restaurants in this genre. Food is extremely fulling and you must try the saffron poutine! Kudos as well to the servers and staff.
Very friendly and professional staff. Food took a bit long to get ready, was very busy. Everything on the menu is halal! Very hard to find these days Italian halal restaurants. Food was tasty but portion a bit too small for the price.
Delicious Halal Italian restaurant. Very nice staff and friendly, very clean and organized. The portion of the food is small and expensive, in my opinion it doesn’t worth the price.
So I ordered the Fettuccine Gamberi, which cost me about 25 dollars for the pasta. The pasta was good, my only gripe was that I only got 6 tiger shrimp pieces which were pretty regularly sized
This restaurant offers a wide range of steaks and pasta. I like the decor of the restaurant, the service is good and the food is tasty. It is a very busy restaurant so make appointments prior to your visit. We enjoyed all the meals and definitely recommend! Most importantly all of their menu is Halal!
Best Italian Halal fine dining restaurant in Ottawa. Great food and customer service. Would highly recommend their pasta. Great tasting dessert as well
