A Law Enforcement Agency that investigates death to determine the cause and manner of the death, while working in conjunction with:

- Fire Protection Agencies
- Medical Institutions
- Public Health and Service Organizations
- Mortuary Service Providers
The Coroner's Office's mission is to provide professional Medicolegal Death Investigation by:
- Determining cause and manner of death
- Identifying decedents
- Notifying next-of-kin
- Protecting decedent’s property
- Assisting survivors of victims with advocacy group referrals when
appropriate
The goal of this Facebook Page is to keep citizens informed of:
- Media outlet reports of the cases our office investigates
- Programs for advocacy groups partnered with our office as it pertains to the reduction of death
- Events involving our office and other government and municipal agencies as it perrtains to the reduction of death through education
The Kane County Coroner's Office is on duty 24 hours every day.
In-Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
