Story

John & Sons Oyster House is one of the premier seafood restaurants in downtown Toronto. We put all of our focus and attention on providing a quality dining experience. We pride ourselves on using fresh and sustainable products. We work hard to innovate traditional East Coast dishes by using fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients.

Our cozy downtown restaurant is more upbeat and lively than other places in the area. We want our guests to have a fun and casual dining experience. If you want to have our delicious food at home, or you’re on the go, we offer take-out. If you want us to come to you we provide catering service with oyster shucking done on site! We also do private events on weekends if you want to rent out our space.

“Truly Canadian!”  Good service with a friendly staff. If you are looking nice cozy place serving continental food from across Canada, John and Sons Oysters House is a must try. Located on Temperance @ Bay in downtown Toronto.  Dining in a modern/ rustic setting with an Eastern Canada touch, you will definitely enjoy meal.

Very busy for workday lunch. Food was very good, including the fried sardines and the lobster roll. The lobster roll is presented with lobster flowing out the top - to actually eat it you need to stuff it back into the bread yourself.

The spot is wonderful and roomy, the food was enchanting and the prices were very reasonable. quickly, effective service and very welcoming staff. Recommended.

The oysters, the scallops and the clam chowder, all delicious. Super recommended.

Great variety of oysters and good wine. They also have friendly staff and nice background music.

Burrata was dry and flavorless. Taco wraps were raw and crumbly. Bad coffee. Not worth the trip. Also expensive.

The recommended casual fish house did not disappoint with the food. The welcoming was warm and friendly. The venue is small and intimate with many quiet conversations being had. Reminded me of a place just outside of Halifax Nova Scotia.

Great little spot nestled in the financial district.  Excellent service, nice selection of wine and oysters.

Amazing food, great service and friendly smiles. Best Financial District spot for seafood.
