Great place inside the St. Lawrence Market to grab a quick bite anytime. Seafood is super fresh, cooked to order and won’t break the bank. The line of locals tell you whatever you order is going to be really good! We ordered the fried calamari to share and there was like at least a 1/2 pound w/fries. Calamari was soft, not tough and melted in your mouth! They had a vast array of many different fish, oysters etc…. Definitely a place to get to on your list. Don’t be intimidated by the line as they provide super fast service. Staff is very friendly.
Stopped here while in St Lawrence market. I checked YouTube reviews prior to my travels and there was an overwhelming response that this was the place to go for a lobster roll. Upon arriving there was an extremely long line and a sign that stated cash only. After 5 minutes, a worker came up to me and asked what I wanted to order and gave me a ticket. At the counter you are greeted and asked if you would like anything to drink. As I was trying to pay with usd, I was told to use a credit card because I didn’t have Canadian money. Which was weird due to the “cash only” sign. Price was $17.75 cad. It came with your choice of fries or salad. I ordered fries. After another 5 to 10 minutes waiting, my number was called and I received my lobster roll. There was no seating anywhere so I had to walk around the market to find seating elsewhere. Perhaps it would’ve tasted better if I could’ve found seating quicker in the market. It was lukewarm by the time I ate it and it was just okay. I’ve had better at other establishments. I will note that there was a decent amount of Lobster in my order.
Went to St Lawrence Market on a Saturday and stepped in here for a quick lunch. It was pretty busy and has to stand in line for 30-40min to get our order but the wait was worth it! Had some delicious, fresh seafood salad, sandwich and fish n chips!
it is inside the St Lawrence Market. Love the food. We ordered the crab cake. Both the crab cakes and salad were delicious. The halibut on the bun was also very tasty. At first I only ate the halibut as I was too full. Only took one bite of the halibut with the bun. I love it. The clam chowder was good too on a chill day!! The price was great too.Overall experience was very good. Definitely will try out other things on the menu next visit.
Got the handmade crab cakes with salad and lobster bisque soup. Both were delicious and satisfied my stomach 10/10. The crab cakes had bits of imitation crab in them as well as real crab meat and was crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. The salad was light and fresh can get fries instead. Despite the hot weather, still got the lobster bisque and was not disappointed! Will be back to try their other menu items. Cash or debit only.
We came here on a Saturday morning and it was BUSY! There was a huge lineup but we waited We got the new England clam chowder and lobster roll with salad. Prices and sizes are reasonable here, and ingredients were fresh! I only wish there was more seafood in the clam chowder and more lobster larger pieces in the lobster roll. A nice place to try in St. Lawrence market
I found it worth the hype! Got the cheapest fish - Boston blue, $14.50+ for 3 pieces of fish and a generous amount of fries. The fish was aptly salted, freshly fried, not too greasy which is surprisingly very hard to find. Chippies were run-of-the-mill though. It's on the 1st floor of St Lawrence market so garages nearby. Seating is abundant near the store's counter and right outside the door on the market's patio.
Fresh fish seasoned well and grilled to perfection. Food is made to order so everything is always so tasty. Easy going and friendly staff. No option is a bad option here just try to avoid the lunch crowds. Remember to pick up your complimentary cole slaw at the end of the bar.
I had the Octopus Po Boy with Onion Rings. Octopus was nice and tender. nicely seasoned with tartar sauce. waited a few more minutes since I had onions rings tasted fresh and crisp. Price, A bit expensive for takeout comparable to restaurant $. But good for the occasional treat. I went saturday March 5 2022 with photos of prices. as expected long line up at lunchtime. I suspect that people who ordered online/ delivery had different price
Wow! The haddock and fries were nice and crispy, the way I love it! It also came with an additional coleslaw on the side if you wanted one. My cousin ordered the halibut sandwich with a side of onion rings and they were pretty bomb as well- big and crispy. Unfortunately on the day we went, there was a drizzle outside from the outdoor seating, however, we still made the best of it and enjoyed our meal. I highly recommend this place.
