John Anderson Hamburger

This is what it’s all about, folks. I’m going out of my way next time to come back. Tried it just because it was convenient and got a Greek salad that was absolutely amazing. Going to try one of the burgers next time. Great, family owned place with big portions and great prices. I loved it.

Reasonably priced and great classic style burgers. Friendly and personal service. I always feel like a close friend when I go into the establishment, very welcoming. Highly recommend the homemade burger but be warned it’s quite filling.

Good food. Tried Veggie Burger. Serving size is generous. The fries are fried when you order. Love the freshness. Would appreciate the customer service they offered. Very friendly and welcoming. Spicy fries weren't spicy though.

Literally eating the home burger in the parking lot as I write this. It's a masterpiece. The burger is perfectly cooked with a great crisp on the outer layer. It's juicy, it's flavourful, it's exactly why you go to a local place like this instead of your typical chains. Chef's kiss. The guys working are friendly and welcoming and definitely know how to make a burger. I drove in from Guelph to come back here again and I’m glad I did. Even better than before.

A big thank you to the owner of John Anderson’s Hamburger in Markham. My mother & my two young daughters & myself stopped in his parking lot with car troubles. While we waited for CAA he came out to see if he could help. He was closing at 6:00 but he let us stay inside where we had something to eat & stay warm. The grilled cheese sandwiches & fries were very good. He went above and beyond!! We intend to stop at his restaurant when we are in the area again.

The homemade burger literally is one of the best if not the best burger I’ve ever had. Greek fries were also unbelievable. How can anyone to go McDonald’s or Harvey’s after eating this ? Thank you for making my night special

It’s hard to find a good, old fashioned, “homemade food” restaurant like this. Every item on the menu is made fresh to order. The souvlaki tastes authentic Greek, not to be missed!

Overpriced and mediocre burger. Owner of the place was rude when asked why one burger and small fry cost 20 some dollars. Saw him get angry at two more customers before me.. must be having a bad day.

Quick and friendly service! Super fast and a nice place to eat. Custom requests will be accommodated if it’s not busy and you ask nicely. They’re also very punctual I showed up at 8am on Saturday. Pictured are the owners and the shop. I got the western omelette normally offered as a sandwich for 5.75, but I got a full size plate with home fries and a coffee for $10.50 ish. Thanks for the hospitality!

By far, one of the iconic places in Toronto. from lovely staff to even pictures and posters on the wall, all are classic. The food is amazing too. Large portions and greet taste for the dollar value. I strongly recommend my favourite sandwich; Steak on Kaiser with large house salad.
