JOEY South Common

the hummus and pita chips were absolutely DELICIOUS, definitely recommend we ended up ordering another round after scraping off the first order the service was awesome and the atmosphere is incredible, my only note would be that we had a bigger group and the tables only really can seat ~5 people. but otherwise, had a wonderful time!

Joey's South Common is a great spot to grab a drink and have some tasty noms. It was a chill, but elevated atmosphere. The food was great, and it was coupled with amazing service. Liz is a spectacular waitress, truly top notch. She was incredibly personable, fun, and light hearted. She made tonight's experience loads better. I would go to Joey's again just to be in Liz's company. Overall would highly recommend and consider yourself lucky if you get served by Liz.

joey south common is my go to for dinner at least twice a week! my girls kayla and mira always make me feel loved, welcome and put a smile on my face within 3 minutes of talking to them, they are seriously my favourite. whenever i order from joey south common, they are always polite, inviting, friendly and amazing with service as they never mess up my order/food the crispy tofu bowl, which makes it taste so much more delicious! the restaurant itself is spectacular but the lovely employees make it so much more enjoyable!

I had to die for double lobsters it was just because I have dietary restrictions, so this meal was the safer way.nnKatie our server gave me this options ! She was so helpful!nnWill be back again for another delicious meal

This is a follow-up to my original review from 2021. My first experience at JOEY unfortunately missed the mark, however, Nekko Edmonton regional manager reached out to me and graciously offered the opportunity to make things right.nnWe booked a Thursday night reservation in the dining room. The restaurant was quite busy but we were still promptly greeted and seated at our table. Airika was our server, and she was phenomenal. She was super friendly and took great care of us from start to finish.nnWe ordered two drinks, the Steak & Ravioli Bianco as a starter, a sushi cone and some warm potato salad, the Blackened Chicken and Peanut Prawn Curry as our mains, and the Molten Chocolate Cake for dessert.nnThe steak and ravioli with prawns was a palate pleaser and such a tasty starter to share. The sushi cone was fantastic. The rice was well-cooked and the tempura prawn gave it a nice crispy bite. The warm potato salad was creamy and delicious. The blackened chicken was a generous-sized portion. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the horseradish aioli paired really well with it. I sampled the peanut prawn curry and it had some incredible flavour. And the lava cake with vanilla ice cream was pure decadence and the perfect way to finish our evening.nnI would like to give a huge thanks to Nekko for making our evening possible. At first I was pleasantly surprised to see that someone from JOEY would contact me years after my initial experience, but overall I was just highly impressed by how thorough and expeditious his communications were with me. He is truly an exceptional manager who is committed to customer satisfaction, going above and beyond to ensure I had the best experience possible. Also a big thanks to Alena and Airika again for their wonderful hospitality and service. I will certainly be back in the future.
