We tried Jerseys in Defiance today for the first time. I don't believe we will be back due to a few reasons. We arrived at 3:55p and sat down at a table. I saw lunch specials ended at 4:00p. A waitress came to our table and I asked about the special, and she said it was over and it was 4:00p. I said the special goes until 4:00p. She said she would attempt to put the order in and see if it takes it. She did take $5.00 off at the end but the fact she wanted to debate the sale was annoying. Next my Philly steak came quick but at a cheap expense of fillings. See photos below of the little fillings included with lots of exposed bread. After I already paid from the table I left to use the bathroom. A short time later I returned and my daughter 12 years old said she was getting ready to text me because the wait staff kept staring at her making her feel uncomfortable. A sign at the front door says to be kind to the wait staff. Maybe the wait staff should be kind and work with the customer.
The Italian sub is awesome! Our waitress wasn't very good though. The reason I marked it 4 vs 2 is because the rest of the staff rallied to help her and that was really good to see. Maybe ours was just carrying a heavy load tonight.Food: 4/5
OVERCHARGED AND REFUSED TO FIX IT, BAD SERVICE! Usually a decent experience. Yesterday, however, met my parents for lunch and not so good. Got seated right away. Took the waitress 8 minutes to first arrive.they were not busy she seemed in a hurry. Took our order. When my 17 year old son ordered his meal he said he would like the ham and cheese whole sub with Mac and cheese. And then I added he also wants fries. She said okay no problem. Took another 10 minutes or so to get our fountain drinks. Then about 5 minutes later our food came out. Waitress didn’t come back for refills. I had to ask the host to please get our waitress. She swung by the table drops the bill on the table and asked what we wanted and was walking away as we were telling her. 3 refills…she only heard 2 because she was already on her way. While she was getting our refills I checked the bill. Charged the $1.75 for the Mac and cheese and an additional $3.49 for the fries. I asked her why the fries where not included and just full price $3.49or $3.99 for the Mac. She was snotty and said well I already put the order in with Mac and cheese first so it automatically bills that way. I said we told you at the table when the order was first placed also the fries that come with. She said well nothing I can do. Are you paying with that card. Wow great customer service! Yeah it may only be $1.75 but really? And if I’m paying $2.49 each drink why not come back and get us refills? I mean we drive all the way from Fort Wayne to meet my parents from a nearby town and can’t even get good service.
Nice atmosphere. The pulled pork sandwich was good. Wish I would have gotten the pizza or chicken wings. Customers were really chowing down on their wings. Must be really good. Pizza at other tables looked amazing. Service was great. Got to go back.
Where else do you get charged for food you didn't like, twice? This place! I ordered the sliders appetizers, 2 chicken and 2 beef, beef ones were great. Chicken not so much. Another waiter asked me if everything was alright. I said no, the 2 chicken I don't like. The replacement sliders which got wrung up as a child's meal didn't get kids drink, or fries that arrived was beef, but nasty tasting. Wrong cheese and toppings. To top it all off my waitress never showed up to apologize for the kitchen and never saw her after food arrived.
Had a good sports theme to it. Low lit not rowdy which is saying something sinxe we came in with a group of like 20. Are server did an amazing job keeping up with all of all tables. She made sure our cups were full and we were checked on.Food: 4/5

Clean. Lots of TVs. Medium sized sports bar. Enjoyed the atmosphere although it was a tad dark inside the place, but I’m assuming that’s to make viewing the TVs easier. Waitress was friendly and quick. I ordered the cheese steak sandwich, which I’ve included a photo of. It was pretty good! Slightly spicy but not bad. Could’ve used more meat as it was lean there but the cheese was hearty which I liked. I ordered the Mac and cheese as my side which was average to below average at best. Some of the noodles weren’t even covered in any of the cheese sauce until after I stirred it up a bit. The cheese sauce seemed watered down and lacking in much flavor. The Mountain Dew was good. Overall, I would visit again. Apparently their pizzas are pretty good.
Great food, and service! Terrible atmosphere! It's dark and dim, with tv's lighting it up! You can get outside seating which is the best! GREAT FOOD!
