Gourmet coffee and gelato. Soup, sandwiches, fresh bakery, chocolate and toffee. ALL our coffee is fair trade and organic, roasted right here in Madison.

Story

Here at Java Cat our goal is to give you the best coffee with a great smile and to provide a fun and easy going atmosphere for our guests and our employees.

We carry the best locally roasted fair trade coffees, make our own authentic gelato and much of our own bakery to give you the best we can down to the very last detail!

We love seeing new faces... Come in to try our products and we always give a warm welcome back to our repeat visitors.

I've been coming to Java Cat regularly for about two years. I love the staff. They are very friendly & helpful. My only complaint is that sometimes the coffee isn't very hot and at times it's bitter. Maybe it's due to the fact that I go there in the late afternoon? Maybe it's been sitting for too long? I don't know. I'm just saying. Overall, I love going there. As I say, The staff is terrific.

I live within walking distance so I go here quite a bit—the coffee is decent, the food is made fresh (the breakfast burrito is amazing) and the gelato is refreshing. Seating can sometimes get tight as Java Cat is popular, but there is both indoors and outdoor seating, as well as a drive thu. My favorite detail about Java Cat is the quirky neighborhood vibe it has, with events hat are inclusive of all people, and local artwork always hanging for sale.

Best breakfast croissant in Madison/Monona! They have a cozy space - if you're allergic to cats, don't worry. There aren't actually cats here. (But you could buy your kitty a catnip toy if you'd like.) I have three favorite food items: the egg/cheese/sausage croissant "Boom Boom style", the pulled pork sandwich, and their salad with the strawberries. PRO TIP - if you're in a rush, call ahead to order and pick it up at their drive thru!

I LOVED my visit to Java Cat! Great latte, baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, & oatmeal! Very friendly & excellent service! I only wish I lived in Madison so I could be a frequent customer. I WILL be back the next time I'm in town!!

Great East Side Cafe! Im not a regular, so every time I visit the space has several nice updates. The menu changes often, their syrups are Torani, customer service is great, and I love how much food they offer!
