Japango Sushi & Noodle Restaurant

Wow. Some of the most beautifully presented food I’ve ever had! We came here after a hike and all of us were absolutely starving. The Menu has a very large variety of different sushi options and sushi related entrées. The starters are creative yet familiar. We ordered quite a bit of food expecting to get a lot. I’ll start by saying our server, Ansel, was amazing! He was so attentive and really took time to help us. The appetizers tasted amazing but the amount of food was very lacking for the high price. The soup and salads were good portions though. When the main dishes came out, my friends sushi rolls came out about five minutes before my bowl, which was unfortunate as they had pretty much finished by the time I got mine. The amount of food we got was not what we were expecting, it was very small portions for a VERY high price. My bowl was literally a few pieces of raw fish on a huge bed of rice. I left satisfied with taste, but not the amount. All round this is a fantastic restaurant if you want to spend a lot. If you are looking to get a good amount of food however, this is not the best place. Not sure if I can justify going back… but, thank you Ansel for the exceptional service.

We ended up trying Japango based on reviews and reputation overall. We walked in with no reservation but were able to get a booth without waiting. This is likely our favorite sushi place in Boulder area for now on. We started with some rolls - Himalayans are something to die for. Then fabulous sushi. With great beers from Japan. BTW, they have happy hour until 6pm. Staff was as good as one could expect.

Good place to spend some money on special occasions. We went in for a birthday and we were not disappointed. Our server was very helpful in nudging us to take the best options on the menu. He’s very attentive and provided some great suggestions. The drinks are great and the food was nicely presented although the quantity is a little less. We enjoyed the food and had a great time sitting outside. The dessert was ok.

There are so many sushi spots in the Pearl Street Mall area and we chose Japango based on a recommendation from a shop owner nearby and were not disappointed. You should get a reservation if you want a table - we got lucky and sat at the bar even on a Tuesday it was insanely busy. The bar turned out to be awesome because we had Jake, Jason, and Jack to take care of us and make recommendations for our drinks and our food. I doubt there is a bad thing on that menu. Pricey yet worth it. I would certainly return. Loved the ahi tuna salad and lobster potstickers. We also enjoyed yummy rolls. See pics

Super impressed with the tempura lobster. It spoke to my soul! Immediately wanted to order another one! The dumplings were also very comforting and yummy! The ambiance is excellent and the lighting is nice. The green tea crème brûlée is to die for. Definitely will be back to get more of that! The all the sushi was very tasty and easy to eat. Flavors are well combined. Can’t wait to come back and try more items on the menu. Really enjoyed the meal with my friends! Japango is Bodies by Farny approved!!!!! Definitely my favorite sushi spot in Boulder Colorado!

We sat at the bar and had fantastic service! They have a nice sake selection and incredible craft cocktails. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Very nice happy hour menu. Large space, amazing service, great sushi. Modern atmosphere. Nice place to go for a sushi date that won't be super crowded like other places in the area due to their size/space Parking: The place itself is on pearl Street Mall cannot drive to so you'll have to park on a different street and walk to it.

Went here for date night and couldn't have been happier with my experience. The staff was knowledgeable on all items including their extensive whiskey list and the sushi was so good I was dreaming about it the next day! Definitely one of my new favorite spots in Boulder.
