Came here with a group of friends and really enjoyed the aesthetic of the location. I found the names of menu items to be very interesting and unique to the name of the restaurant. Hospitality was amazing, everyone we met was kind and respectful. The food was just as good, I ordered the Inferno with the spicy pepper toppings to the burger-which are very hefty size with the bun. I ordered a side of jack’d up fries with the jack sauce which gave me hints of mayonnaise. They also have a good amount of milkshakes which I’ve heard all good reports of. All in all, I would go back and highly recommend to a friend.
The food was good, but not anything extraordinary. I got the standard burger with fries and a creamsicle shake. The burger was light on the sauces and toppings, but it was satisfactory; the Jack sauce is what makes it great. Something interesting is how flat the burger is. It's bigger around than most, but easily the thinnest burger. The fries were basic thick cut. The shake was fine. Overall the order was about $23, which I thought was a bit much for the amount of food, but alas, inflation these days.
So good to have jacks burgers downtown. I find it easy to find parking and the burgers are flavorful and hit the spot. Owner is a burger wizard. Love the BBQ crunch, but last time had the brisket and beef burger with a refreshing wedse salad with blue cheese.Food: 5/5
Omigosh. Jack's Burger Shack has come to Edmonton from St. Albert. This legendary burger emporium is legend. My friends and I would drive all the way to St. Albert for their burgers because it was worth the drive. They have moved to a small hole-in-the-wall on Jasper Avenue that's hard to see. But you have to check it out. Their burgers are huge. And all sorts of varieties of designs. The fries are generous too. You'll love the mayo with the fries. And try the hangover style on any burger and they put your burger between two grilled cheese sandwiches. Yum! Also, the shakes are killer! No calorie counting here. Service here is extremely generous. They are always attentive to your needs. And they will always come and fill your beverage. They have also been very kind and welcoming to the vagrants in the area. I'd give more stars if I could! 5 x
All I can say is WOW. What a great experience. Went in for lunch today and got the mushroom hangover burger. One of the best burgers ever. The staff were superstars. They welcomed us, made us laugh, . They were amazing. One of the best gems in edmonton. Make sure you stop by, I definitely will be back
I love that St.Albert’s own Jacks Burger Shack has an Edmonton location and centrally-located Downtown no less. I had the bbq crunch burger with a side of fries and everything was delicious - I forgot how big the burgers here are! The staff were very friendly and recommended an excellent local craft beer as well.
one of the few places serving ice cream floats. burgers are quite large but for the size surprisingly light - thin meat patty, not greasy, & the big fresh bun is not dense. moderately busy with the weekday lunch rush, but prompt service.
Tastes homemade because it is homemade!! True beef burgers from D'Arcy's Meat Market local & family owned paired with super fresh buns. I tried The Standard w/ cheese and an Orange Creamsicle milkshake. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, they also bring the food to you which is a nice little touch. Did I mention the burgers are MASSIVE?!
The burgers here are so good! And huge! Served on a delicious kaiser bun! I had the BBQ Crunch burger, my husband had the Hangover burger, and the jacked up fries. We left feeling very full and super satisfied. Will definitely be back!Food: 5/5
I think it's a tasty burger. It's a nicely portioned smashy type burger. BBQ Crunch burger was what I got. Meat tasted good. Sauce was good. Bun was good and not too dense. I got the poutine as well. Fries were good, curds were really good, gravy was ok. I admit that I prefer a darker gravy, but it was a fine poutine. Jack's is definitely worth a go. It's a great lunch place as the counter service is fast and efficient. I would go back for a different burger and a shake.
