J Bistro Downtown

The service was incredible, everyone was super attentive. The food here was off the charts, unbelievably good! The steak was cooked to perfection, as was the cod and shrimp! This is your best bet if you are in Sandusky and want a superior dinner!

Personally I'm not the one to go to a fancy restaurant, but honestly you have to try their french onion soup; once you let it cool down some it's honestly the best french onion soup I've ever had. The server forgot to grab me a box so you'll have to remind them, my server was very nice. This place will ever have a place in my heart as they made my first date with this girl spectacular and unforgettable.

Sue, our server, was absolutely fantastic. her personality was so welcoming and kind. she was fantastic at giving feedback on the dishes and overall just funny. 100% would recommend resturaunt and sue as your server

Delicious food!! Literally ate until I couldn't anymore. The 10 oz steak special was phenomenal and the mashed potatoes went down like butter. Would go again!Food: 5/5

This place is horrible! Never again! Seafood smelled rotten! For the price of the food you would think you get a fancy design on your plate or cool layout of you food..nope!! Get new management fresh food and cooks!

My family and I vacationed to cedar point and decided to end the trip with dinner at J Bistro. We drove 14 1/2 hours here, so saying we are tourists is a bit of an under statement. Knowing NOTHING about the area, I had to do some research. I couldn’t find a place more recommended for a comfortable, finer dining experience than J Bistro. The location is great, the decor is great, and most importantly the food is GREAT. We are from the south. The REAL south. All of our food is great. Finding a place with flavor like us is hard, but J Bistro hit the mark and exceeded it. I had the cowboy steak and finished the night with the bread pudding. Could not recommend this place more!! Also, make sure Sue is your waitress. Probably the best waitress I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten at my fair share of places! 10/10.

The interior of this place is beautiful. They are definitely going for upscale. The prices reflect that as well. The food...well the food is not bad but we expected better. Overall not a bad experience.

Some friends brought us here one evening during the week. Got seated right away. Ordered some wonderful wines from the friendly waitress. I ordered salmon with cherry bbq sauce. It was one of the best salmon dinners I have every had. Fabulous. Very enchanting evening with fine food and drink.

Impeccable food and service, welcoming decor in downtown Sandusky Ohio. Highly recommended! Lobster Risotto, Pork Chop with sweet corn and mashed yams, bbqd salmon & shrimp and flat iron steak with shrimp

Food, drinks and service were all really good. The menus were stained and the drink menu wasn't even on a board like the rest of the menu, but was the same paper that also had stains. That impression is the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars.
