It was alright, but not great; my burger came back overcooked. I can see this place being a big hit for people with specific dietary needs - they offer gluten free and vegetarian options and advertise this heavily. But then they don't offer basics like French fries. I don't blame them for that, I don't expect every restaurant to have every single food I like. On the contrary, I'm not a very picky person and yet the food we got between our table for 4, everything was fairly average at best. Maybe I just came on an off day for the staff. Overcooked burger was the most disappointing part. Still good overall, and better than McDonald's any day. But not fantastic.
This place serves delicious food. Went in for a bite after visiting the museum and I was pleasantly surprised. It was Sunday later afternoon and it was really quiet in there, so I wasn't sure what to expect and man, the sandwich was awesome, tasted fresh, it didn't taste like it was pre-made waiting for me to come in and order it. I ordered the Caesar salad and it was tasty, I liked the dressing a lot, some of the other people at my table ordered the soup and that was also very tasty. It was a very small and intimate little shop, with delicious food. I can't say I wanted more out of it! Also the lady who was working was excellent!
Great food in a cozy atmosphere, perfect place for a Celiac to eat. Went twice in a week and my partner had no issues or reactions. Even brought our nephews and they had great kids menu options for them. Plus the coffee is top notch.
The food is always delicious and fresh here. Great lunch and breakfast options. Haven't had a thing here that I don't like. Gluten free options for everything = heaven for a celiac. The only thing that could be improved upon is the kids meals. They could use a side of carrot sticks or apple slices or something simple like that.
Waitress was rude and took over 15 minutes to give us the menus and another 10 to take our order. Had a beef burger, Meat was low quality, bun was stale, I was given the wrong toppings. It came with a salad, but little did I know if I asked for caesar salad, I would be charged $2. The waitress neglected to inform me of that when I ordered. Everything was overpriced, including the drinks. Saw the cooked mop the floors then continue to cook without washing his hands or switching gloves. Terrible experience, would not recommend.
Full disclosure... I photographed her Street View tour. Great sandwiches, I had Jerk chicken, lightly spiced but yummy. Borscht with red beets and sour creamed. Personal service by Margot. Ivy is hands on in the kitchen. You will have a memorable lunch. Uses herbs from her own garden! A great start to a visit to the Museum!, thanks Ivy!
Not anything special. Basic brunch menu. Very slow paced with service. Fan was turned on at the front of the bistro, I asked if it could be turned down, waitress asked the cook. Cooks response, someone bitching? Fan was turned off. Received food and wouldn't you know it there is a hair in my eggs. I set it aside waiting for the waitress to come back to see if all is good excetra, not a chance. I feel nauseous. They did make me another plate of food and didn't charge for the meal, that was kind of them.
I love going here with my daughter. The food is always fantastic and fresh. The staff remember us and Margo and Ivy are a true delight. I can't get enough of the mango chutney and the homemade soups are to die for.
Great home cooking with the option to have anything on the menu gluten free. They even have vegetarian options. No deep fried stuff here. We were a group with 4 adults and 2 kids and everyone enjoyed their meals. REAL FOOD!
Came in with my son on a recommendation. Great little place doing a mix of salads, sandwiches, soups, and appetisers. They can do gluten free and are fine to substitute for dietary or allergy needs. Happy people, nice prices, and local. Go here instead of hitting Boston Pizza for lunch.
