Bernie & The Boys Bistro

Great variety of burgers and many different flavors of milkshakes offered. 60's style of decor offered. You order at the counter and then sit at a table. All tables are marked Reserved for customers who are actually having a meal. Busy location but the food is great. Very limited parking on the street.

Was recommended by a local. Not impressed. They put reserved signs on the tables so people would order before sitting down, this was confusing and we saw many people just come in and leave because if it. We ordered a kids burger and fries, kids grilled cheese, guacamole wrap and hot wings with 2 small milkshakes, and 2 sodas - it came to $46.00. There was nothing special about the food at all. No dip for the wings. No sides. The guacamole on my poorly made wrap was frozen. My youngest got a bad stomach ache, we all did not feel that great after eating here. I don't recommend it at all.

I enjoyed my food. I had one of their Famous Burgers and it was delicious. The milkshakes and their selections are amazing. My wife however is a vegetarian and the menu is lacking in that regard. She ordered the veggie lasagna and it was blandly spiced and lacking in vegetables. Thankfully management refunded us for that lasagna. That makes a difference when the customer is appreciated.

The service was curt and crusty. Sometimes this can be oddly charming for diners of this sort, however this was not the case. The food was fair at best, and the server had no idea what he was presenting to us. They advertise as child friendly, but had Chive TV on in the background, where people were lighting fireworks off on themselves. I had to divert the eyes of young impressionable minds throughout the course of our visit. The bill structure was odd. I was prompted for a tip, before any service was rendered. Chicken wrap had mainly veggies and very little chicken. One of my guests became ill after the meal, tough to say if it was related to her meal or not. Pizza was undercooked and doughy. The G burger was good. A classic messy take on a Big Mac. This item was recommended by th staff and for good reason. I don't believe I will be taking my crew back to this place on our next visit to Drumheller.

Ordered the Hawaiian burger, and the Nacho Daddys Burger. Both were very filling and delicious. Fries were nicely seasoned. This place has over 75 different milkshake options! Something for everyone. Short wait time for food. We thought it was reasonably priced for this type of burger joint. Would recommend.
