Friday nights, crab is on the menu - black bean, ginger or spicy garlic.  I've had the black bean and the ginger, both excellent.  A full 1 pound crab.

If you're phoning for take-out, good luck to you - prepare to not have your call answered, to be put on hold for indecent times or to just have to hang up and call again.

So first I want to say the food is great that's no problem but I will never dine in at island mix again!!! The service is the worst I've ever experienced! This is not just a one time thing the last 2 times I went there is was unfortunately the same waitress and she was horrible. So on Fridays they have $3.50 martinis and my friends and I wanted to go and have a few get apps and food let's just say we were planning on being there for a while. We ended up leaving after an hour. We ordered drinks and apps at the same time took forever to get the apps and we didn't get our drinks until we completely finished our apps. Then we asked for water with lemon later which we received minus the lemon which was no issue until we asked for lemon wedges and the server brought them to us IN  HAND with lemon dripping down all over the servers hand!!! SO GROSS!! Anyways we then wanted to order our main meals and we had to wait 15 extra minutes to just get the servers attention! Oh and let me make it clear there were at least 10 servers that night so it's not to say they were understaffed or super busy because they weren't! This server "Bianka" was horrible and acted like this was the last thing she wanted to be doing. Island mix has lost our business because of her!! As I said before she was our server more than once and the first time was just as bad!

Very nice atmosphere. Dark with colorful lighting. Lively music, and plenty of tv screens. Good hangout spot for a group of friends, or going out with a date.

I come here for wings on Tuesdays, they're good. The music is always too loud and the DJ's mixes are interesting but don't work. The DJ is literally a kid but I appreciate the effort.

Nice vibe, great food. I usually get the special chicken fried rice and the chili chicken. Gotta be patient with the food, but totally worth it!
