After spending over a month on vacation in Anchorage, International House of Hotdogs was far and away our best dining experience. Aside from the hotdogs and fries being unbelievably delicious, the owner was so exceptionally kind and upbeat. He even walked a block through the snow to our car with extra napkins. Just an all around genuinely nice guy. I highly recommend going here, and if you can't decide, the McKinley Dog with garlic fries was incredible.

The owner of IHOH is the brother of the owner of the bike rental shop next door and their mom cooks at the hot dog stand also and this is about as warm and welcoming and love filled casual dining experience as you could ever hope to have. This entrepreneurial family's mission seems to simply be to bring joy to the world, and they succeed. And oh yeah, the hot dogs are so delicious!! And the fries are too. Come hungry enough to try more than one hot dog, because you will be very tempted to do so.

Excellent food and excellent service. My partner and I ate one hot dog each with fries and a drink and we both enjoyed it all. We chose the regular fries for one of the menus and the garlic fries for one, and they were both great. Cilantro fries was also an option. Great valued hot dogs, fries and service at a great location equals 5/5 stars. Definitely deserves its good reputation.

This is one of the most iconic food stops in Alaska! The place has a skill in taking all the food they make and turning it into magic. They have truly made food an art. If you don't come at last once to IHOH then you re missing out on some crazy good food. If you ever get to meet the owner you are in store for some crazy good customer service. This is definitely an up and coming place, they 're going places.

Great dogs but even better customer service! Glad to have IHOH on the corner of 4th and L downtown. Don't be put out by the winter, they are taking orders and have tables set up in the house next-door for warm indoor dining.
