My husband and I absolutely loved this place the first time we went. We've always had great service and love that they have a wide variety of beers to choose from! They have great lunch specials too! We can't wait for summer because they have a gorgeous view of Denali from their deck outside which also has seating and heat lamps for chilly evenings.

A new company opened last summer (2016) in downtown, Anchorage. They have two meeting rooms in the basement. The restaurant has three levels with an open kitchen on the first floor and with three bars on the three levels. Every level has an own bar. Lot of workers work in the building which is always, but always full. During the summer I can recomment the third floor. If the weather is nice, you can see the Denali National Park from the roof. 
From the menu I tried the Nachos (which is our favorite with my girlfriend in the city) and the pizza which was okay. They make some beer own beer which are also pretty good. 
I recommend to call the restaurant and make a reservation if you plan to go during evening times. They are almost full all the time.

Great beer selection, all of which is pretty phenomenal. Service was pretty bad though on a Monday night so it's not like they were super busy. It took an hour just to get a cheeseburger and Mac and cheese. I had the Yak burger. It was ok, but def not worth 25$ for a cheeseburger. I'd recommend just coming here for beer and eating elsewhere.

They have an ENTIRE VEGAN PIZZA COMPLETE WITH CHEESE. I was so stoked when I learned this! I like the rustic aesthetic there as well. Service was excellent. Food was good. But why was it so cold inside? 😣

We are from Iowa and we were in anchorage on vacation & our enterprise rental agent advised us on going to 49th state for dinner at some point! And to have the pretzel  appetizer. We were seated, then took 20 minutes for someone to even recognize we haven’t been served on. A waitress said she wasn’t the server for our table but she was going to help us. I’m sure she was busy enough with her assigned tables and that’s why our service took forever which wasn’t her fault, I️ just wished the service was better. The pretzel and the food was amazing.
