Independent Jewellers

I am one of the co-founders of Winnipeg Watch Enthusiasts ( a Manitoba watch club with almost 300 members) and I will be transparent and say that Independent Jewellers is one of our sponsors. Having said that, many members purchase watches regularly from Independent Jewellers (including myself) and I can honestly say I have heard nothing but good, positive comments from all their transactions. They have a great selection of brand name watches, no pressure sales, are very knowledgeable about the products they sell and provide good after sales service if required.

I had the best experience here buying my first high end Swiss watch. Paul took his time and was more than helpful while I tried on every watch in the store before finally settling on a Longine watch. I will absolutely be going back in the near future to purchase my first Rolex and breitling, with the help of Paul again!

Worst service ever!! Asked them (in Polo Park) if they can service my watch and specified the particular watch name and model. "Yeah, of course, we can do that" was the answer. I asked a few times: "Are you sure?" As I usually send my watch to Switzerland and even in London, UK, the official boutique said they couldn't take a watch for servicing, and sent it to Switzerland. Usually the regular service is about $2500. The watch was in Toronto at a certain time. The girl at Independent Jewelers in Polo Park said that they could do it for about $150! I asked a few times if they were sure about it. I also asked not to start doing it without a prior call to me. Guess what happened next? I shipped my watch from Toronto for about $200, gave it to them and they didn't even call for more than a week! I called them, left a message and when they called me back, they said: "We cannot do this watch!!" My questions is: Why are you taking the watch if you are not sure you can do it? " Nobody knows... I don't know if they can do $10 quartz watches only but I would definitely avoid going there with a high end watch.

There are many options for consumers, and the workers are very professional and patient. I would go there to buy more accessories and watches if the store would provide more discount.

I had such a great experience at independent jewellers I would definitely go there again to purchase jewelry, the lady that helped me I believe was named Tarin was friendly and had great product knowledge. Happy I purchased my ring from them!
