Independent Jewellers is a 3rd generation family owned jewellery store in Winnipeg. We specialize in mid-high end jewellery and watches.

Story

IJL (Independent Jewellers Ltd.) was founded by John H. Epp in 1937. We specialize in luxury watches and jewellery and offer a variety of services including watch and jewellery repair. Our head office, at 493 Notre Dame Ave., will be undergoing renovations starting this summer and we are looking forward to starting a new chapter in this company.

We also have a second location in Polo Park Shopping Centre. This location is on the main floor, near Starbucks and across from Forever XXI.

I have been rummaging online for weeks searching for the Tag Heuer Monaco Dark Lord 2022. I’ve talked to online resellers but can’t decide on their ridiculously expensive prices and shipping costs until my best friend who lives in Winnipeg told me about IJL. I was so delighted to find out that they have this elusive timepiece and immediately gave them a call. The moment I hanged up, I instantly placed the order online and called them to reconfirm my order. IJL sees to it that the package will be sent to me securely. All my transactions were quick, secured and efficient! I was so ecstatic when I got the timepiece and I am so happy to get it from IJL. I definitely recommend this retailer and will surely buy another timepiece from them! Kudos to all your staff!
I was in Winnipeg on business and decided to stop in at IJL to look at watches with the hopes that they may have some Rolex watches in stock. Unfortunately they did not, but after a quick browse and some intuitive and helpful service from Jeff at IJL, I found myself purchasing a beautiful Tudor watch and a bracelet for my wife. Jeff was knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and he really knew his stuff! A month later, I had my eye on an Omega "Creamsicle" Seamaster Planet Ocean with a white ceramic face and an orange ceramic bezel. It is a beautiful timepiece! I only called one place, even though I live in South Western Ontario! Jeff was just as helpful virtually as he was in person and within 24 hours, my new watch was delivered to my door safely and securely. Jeff followed up the next day to ensure I was completely satisfied! Thank you Jeff and IJL! You have a life-long customer! Now...let's talk Rolex!
It is a really nice shop and every staff is very kind. I asked Sophia if they had specific model of IWC. They did not have it but she quickly checked the stock and ordered it for me. I asked several questions and stock availability of other models but she kindly responded to all of my inquiries. I am looking forward to buying rolex watches from IJL soon.
Beautiful store and has fantastic Staff. IJL has a great selection of watches and jewelry. I have dealt with Jeff, and I can't say enough good words about him. He is very personable and professional. As soon as I met Jeff, we hit it off with many similarities, and I felt right at home. He helped me secure my first Omega watch, and I'm loving it. I cant wait for future Purchases with Jeff and IJL. I was looking for an Omega watch dealer who would provide professional as well as friendly service... and I found it at IJL! Right from the first call; a friendly receptionist transferred me to Sophia, who it turns out is a fantastic representative for the store. Sophia was professional, polite, and enthusiastic about helping me purchase the Omega watch I was looking for. I was so impressed, I knew I was in good hands. Sophia had the watch sized to my wrist and shipped out overnight free for me to pick up the next day. The watch just arrived, and it's everything she promised. Really nice store and friendly service. They sell a lot of beautiful jewellery but I go there for their watches. IJL has a nice selection of watches. Rebecca is who I have dealt with for several items. She is very personable and professional. She has been very helpful and accommodating especially with me. I was very ecstatic after my last purchase of a new Rolex GMT master II "pepsi". Sunny is also very knowledgable of watches and aided me with the features of my new watch. Thank you everyone at IJL for consistently positive experiences. I will definitely continue to remain a client of this establishment for many years to come.
My wife and I have nothing but excellent things to say about IJL. We’ve been there many times and enjoyed the visits each time. Our perky and always happy sales associate Sunny always make you feel welcome. Same goes to Mary Ann as well. Overall the entire staff there are great people. Even the big security guard Shawn is one happy guy.
Sunny was phenomenal to deal with. Her patience, understanding and attentiveness are only a few of the exemplary qualities you would hope to find in a luxury store. We took our time, she reviewed options in great detail and made me feel extremely confident with my purchase. I would recommend Sunny to anyone seeking top quality service, she’s wonderful.
