Absolutely wonderful! My lobster ravioli was absolutely perfect; the accompanying rich tomato sauce was near enough to sauces I enjoyed in Italy that I couldn’t help smiling with nearly every bite. While the menu is mostly central, and southern, Italian, my partner found a splendid mushroom white sauce did that they couldn’t stop raving about. The salad selection was fabulous, as well. We had a Caesar and a concoction with strawberries, apples, and walnuts with a vinegar reduction! that was incredibly flavorful, yet simplistically fresh. The bottomless bread is excellent perhaps just a *touch* too much toasting. Service was on point: ever present, but not stiflingly so. The portion size was really good - enough to sate my hunger but not so much that I couldn’t move or consider dessert. The kitchen is not experimental; most of the dishes are traditional, or close enough, that some minor unexpected flourishes - while welcomed and tasty - are not what I’d describe as New Italian. But, it’s exactly what I craved! This is a neighborhood gem, and a place not to miss if you adore solid, mostly traditional, mostly southern Italian food. Note: I dined here in early Oct 2022 in case the menu doesn’t look like what I’m describing at a later date.
This place is not good, sorry. For the cost you would expect high-quality Italian food, but it tastes like bar-quality pre-frozen, microwaved. I’m not sure why it has so many good reviews. The server was very polite, but after ten minutes of waiting I had to walk to the kitchen to ask for service to order. The dinner bread was dry and stale, and they gave us diner-style salt and pepper like for eggs and bacon not a fresh grinder. Started with calamari. It was bar/pub grade, store-bought frozen, and the sauce was bad. We ordered a pizza, risotto, and penne pasta. The pizza was very dry and mostly potatoes and cheese is that Italian?. The risotto was really bad - WAY too much sauce, which was very greasy and salty. My wife makes much better risotto at home. The penne pasta was similar, way too much sauce, greasy and salty. Portions were gigantic. We did not have desert. We were scared to try it. We got to-go boxes for our leftovers, but decided to leave them. I felt bad wasting the containers but it was better for our health. Don’t spend your money here, there are much better options.
First time here. Made reservations but didn't really need it for 2pm on a Sunday. Had the Salmon and a side of Linguine Alfredo and it was really yummy. Great food, good service. Espresso Martini is amazing. Good vibe. Will come here again.Food: 5/5
Second time visiting this beautiful spot in Oak Park! I love it! The food was delicious and the drinks were too! Cappuccino was tasty. The dessert wins by a landslide! Kudos to the chef! Service was great, the first time and second time! I love it! Service was attentive; water refills were great as well! I will be coming back!
The staff are very friendly and attentive. Great wine selection and very good cocktails as well. It's always nice dining under an umbrella on their patio when the weather is warm. I've tried many things on the menu, and everything I've ordered over the years has been delicious. Their gluten-free pizza crust is the best I've had at a restaurant. My favorite is their prosciutto and arugula pizza. Dietary restrictions: They offer a great selection of gluten-free options.
This is an awesome place, very Italian, very. The location is excellent, steps away from public parking. The service is good, nice welcoming people. The place is warm, homely, with low noise, so you can enjoy in a relaxing atmosphere. The food is wonderful, really Italian, perfect seasoning, you can taste and feel the ingredients. The risotto with mushrooms is a must, as is the carpaccio. Well, all I have eaten here is delicious. I have spent many enjoyable hours here… and plan to do it again
I could swim in the chocolate martini. The lobster ravioli was delicious. I live for good crusty bread Parmesan and olive oil. Definitely enjoyed my solo dinner at my corner table. Will absolutely be returning. I’d love to experience the patio in the spring/summer.
Good food! Small place but great atmosphere. Only one issue we had requested two baskets of bread. On our third, we were told they ran out of bread. But we can still see they were servicing bread. Now if you are limited guess only two baskets per table. Just say so don't say we are out of bread. That is my rant...... but good foodFood: 4/5
Went for a friends birthday dinner, it was delicious! The whole staff had given us top tier customer service. One of my favorite things is their olive oil with warm bread they bring to your table when you arrive. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and the potatoes.. creamy, garlicky, perfect temperature.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Our family lives nearby, and your location is always blasting music. Please lower it. Sometimes we work from home and having to block our windows to limit the hours of your holiday music has been a real pain. You did it a summer night where you played music till midnight on a school day. Please be mindful of people that live nearby.
