Il Mundo Cafe and Bakery

Busy spot but undoubtedly due to the wonderful selection of baked treats, gelato & coffee. Limited seating here, so be prepared to wait. Modern, contemporary design with plenty of warm woods. Tho its my first time here, my friend spent almost half her visits to Commercial Drive at this cafe. Initially we were just going for gelato, as there are some unique flavour offerings. I was SO happy to have chosen the honey-lavender. AND I could not leave without buying their gorgeous massive pecan caramel rolls! Took one home gave the other to my friend & was able to eat it across a few days. I was amazed how well it kept! Forgot to take a pic before I dove into it. I recently visited Mundo Cafe, a small cafe in the heart of the city. The decor was charming, with vintage accents and cozy seating that made me feel right at home. The coffee was excellent, with a bold and flavorful blend that was perfectly brewed. The barista was friendly and attentive, and made sure my drink was exactly as I liked it. In addition to coffee, the cafe also offers a small but delicious selection of pastries and snacks. I tried the Chocolate croissant and it was moist and flavorful. Nice cafe on commercial drive - I enjoyed their pistachio gelato! I like how late this cafe is open until. Lots of seating, free wifi and outlets against the wall. Service was prompt.

Found a dead fly in the coffee we ordered to go. If I didn’t take off the lid to add sugar I wouldn’t have even known. Sadly I’ve already had some sips before I even realized. Absolutely disgusting
