Reviews
Bought fresh cookies from their bakery/deli section for almost $7 after tax. I heard their cookies were good, so I figured I'd give them a try. First cookie, two bites in. A freaking hair. With how much they charge, you'd think they would have better quality control. Wear your dang hair nets, this is disgusting. Judging from other reviews, other people have found hairs as well.. Stay away from there bakery and deli section. Just buy prepackaged cookies instead.
IGA is expensive, but if you need something in a pinch then it's great for quick pick ups! The staff are friendly and helpful. Their produce is great! They have a little bit of everything you might need. Thus location is good as its in the strip mall and near the residential area of Port Moody. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
I come here occasionally once or twice a week. They have a great selection of meats. Good quality. During the pandemic I had some pretty negative experiences with the staff which were quickly rectified by management. There's one older lady that works there on one of the tills and you can tell she just hates her job. She always has her mask on her face and even though masks are no longer required, if you don't have your mask on she looks at you as though you're a criminal. I noticed most customers just plain avoid going through her till. Probably be a good idea for her to look for another job or even retire.
Saw a couple of employees coughing while wearing masks. Does this place make people come to work sick and and put others employees and customers at risk. Other than that, decent selection of pricy groceries.
I started going to this IGA because up until today I've always had great customer service. I popped in this morning to get a few items and you could tell the female staff member working the checkout was in a bad mood. She looked like she wanted to be anywhere else but at work. She said all the right things but in a tone that didn't speak to being friendly and no smile just a frown. My interact was acting up which it does at times and she tried telling me how to use my card which I found ridiculous because it's not like I'm a new card user. She said I was rushing and to wait for the symbol to show up for tap payment which I HAD twice but the reader wouldn't accept the tap payment. I'll go elsewhere from now on which is too bad because I like to support the smaller stores.
I normally would never leave a review for a grocery store, but after seeing the underhanded tactic I felt the need to speak out. I bought this $3.99 loaf of garlic bread today that was suppose to be 450g and expiring on October 7th. Upon opening up the package, I noticed that there was another label underneath for a $2.49 loaf that was suppose to be 226g and expiring on Oct 6th. After weighing the product I discovered it was 248g, way shy of the advertised 450g. I'd be leery of a grocery store that would pull something like this just to make an extra $1.50, after all you might be eating expired foods that are way smaller than you thought.
Great supermarket, with a fabulous bakery and delicious deli. The butcher shop is also fresh and well stocked.
Very convenient to shop there! Nice shop’s also around it! Meet department are great people staff are friendly and welcoming! Management are great! I am there almost 5 days a week! Thanks everyone
Good area for all the house they have there to have this IGA there and then there are many other store is the area as well many stocked shelves and usually is busy for the people around there they have a frozen food section and a meat section which is good as well helpful staff and always smiling
Ok ok, I'm updating my old review and taking down 1 star, 3 now. Small shop but so convenient. Nice little deli corner and still good pastries although not as good as last year. Unfortunately no more self serve Keurig coffee. Enough food choices if you go for a picnic or have a big dinner. Only little downside are prices that tend to be on the high side.
