Hynes

Old school diners can be hard to find sometimes so I’m glad that we found this one. Our server was fantastic: friendly and helpful. I had the jumbo burger platter which was “jumbo”. A really good burger with a ridiculous amount of crinkle cut fries there are onion rings as well that are not in the photo as my brain said they had to be eaten immediately. Good prices, friendly service, and large portions of tasty food. What more could you ask for?

I've been coming to Hynes for years and it never disappoints. Stopped in a couple weeks ago with my partner and we shared the fish chowder, which was thick and rich the way it always is. The staff remembered us from previous visits, which is a small thing but it means a lot in a city where restaurants come and go. If you're a Moncton local and haven't made this a regular spot, you're really missing out.

Two of us had breakfast special with eggs, toast, choice of meat, choice of grilled or deep fried hashbrowns and coffee or juice. Great value and portions and as usual the service was great. The new owners haven't changed the old tested and loved menu, the food is still great and the staff are still friendly. Definitely a Moncton icon as far as restaurants are concerned since 1939!

I said just to be on the one half of the sandwich if possible as my husband and I were sharing and he’s allergic. Club came out with bacon on side, no problem. However, went to eat the club and there was little pieces of bacon throughout. When we asked the server and checked with kitchen, yup they put in on the club… would’ve been no problem had they offered to re make sandwich OR EVEN discount… but no. We were left awkwardly sharing at each other as waitress hovered over, deciding what we were going to do with it. Took it in a takeout box, not even a single bite out of it. Could’ve been handed different.nnTook us a good 15 minutes to pay our bill too? Lousy service

Great spot! Despite being busy, the service is fast, the staff are friendly, and the food is delicious. I asked for take out to be served later, and they did it per request.
