Love this restaurant!
The variety on the menu is great, everyone can always find a favorite dish to eat.
My personal favorites are the smoked chicken pasta, french dip (on beer bread), obviously the beer bread, and I can't find the words to describe the sugar cookies!!!
The staff is helpful, friendly, and professional. You won't be disappointed.

This place is incredible! I came with my family one Friday night- and we immediately came back the following Saturday night. They bring you this delicious, soft bread before your food. Food is high quality and portions are large. Their dessert is probably the best thing about Hug Hes.

Great place to dine! I love the cozy atmosphere and the delicious food. Each time I dine at Hug-Hes, I am impressed with what I order. The artichoke dip is fantastic, the taco salad is excellent, and the burgers will leave you longing for more.

The atmosphere doesn't feel so much like a cafe, than it does a high-end feeling, small restaurant.
It all started with the fresh soft bread, served with delicious strawberry flavor mixed butter. Shortly after my wife and I finished our bread, our food was out. I ordered a Crispy Chicken Avocado Salad with Vinaigrette dressing; my wife ordered Country Fried Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Garden Soup.
The salad had all of the right fixings: bacon bits, lettuce, spinach, radish, hard boiled eggs with a deviled egg appearing seasoning, and a delicious and generous amount of crispy chicken and half of an avocado sliced, among other things. Surprisingly with all of these fresh ingredients, I don't think I would ever order the salad again, it was good, but didn't scream "to die for", although it looked the part. However, others may feel different and enjoy it more than I did.
What my eyes rested on my entire meal was the country fried steak that took up my wife's entire plate, with a tasty gravy. The mashed potatoes had garlic and cheese, and was far above par. The garden soup tasted fresh and was full of flavor. This is something I would definitely recommend.
Overall, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere with a friendly attentive staff. Service was far above average on speed, even being moderately busy around dinner time on a Wednesday evening. My wife and I have been touring towards local restaurants for a different change in tastes, and to get away from chain restaurants. Nothing had the taste as if it came out of the freezer, and everything was delicious.
My only nit-picky complaint, would be that wrestling was playing on the TV right above our table, not really a restaurant feeling kind of program. But, it wasn't loud or obnoxious, so I don't have much to complain about there.
Needless to say, we will visiting Hug-Hes Cafe many more times to come, and I suggest you give it a try as well!

First, we have eaten here and at the sister store often. The food and service have always been good. For the last 4 weeks we have eaten here every Friday before the Weber HS football game. Every week we have had 7 - 10 people and every week we have been seated and ordered appetizers while we wait for my son-in-law who works later. Tonight we arrived at 5:15 - many empty tables - but could not be seated until we were ALL THERE! So we had to stand in the doorway for 1/2 hr waiting for our last person in spite of asking several times to be seated. The hostess, Bailey, said that it was at the managers direction. If so - not smart - not only did we not order appetizers, they lost our good will. In the future we will eat at Bella's or Cafe Rio and continue to eat at the other location but will probably avoid this place. Too bad because we do like the food and have always before had good service.
