So my wife swings by at 549 for some biscotti's and cookies and gets an attitude from the woman at the counter. The woman said they close at 6. Guess it was too much to ask with 11 minutes to close. Well, they are not the only cookies in town. Guess we'll go someplace else that appreciates some business.

There's a huge problem with my favorite bakery! It's so darned good. Their Biscotti couldn't be any more authentic and you can taste the real ingredients like butter and cream in all their wonderful baked goods. I am especially partial to the cherry, almond scones but everything is good. Great place for gifts as well. And Connie and the staff are ALWAYS helping the community.

I would give five stars, however, I was sold a moldy cardamom cake one time. I called and they told me they had issues with their cooling system (it was a summer visit). The staff was friendly and offered me another product. That being said, there is NO excuse for a bakery to sell moldy product. There should be steps in place to prevent something like this from happening. When I went in the next day (I called a few hours after getting home the day I bought the product), the woman there pulled out the same tray of cakes I was sold from, checked them out, and was like "oh, this is not good." Whoever I had spoken with on the phone hadn't even checked to see how the rest of the batch was holding up! Well they, too, we're covered in mold on the bottoms. I am so happy I thoroughly check my food before I consume it, or I would have eaten moldy cake. It makes me wonder, as there were a few missing, if anyone had actually eaten it without noticing.

Allen and I love this friendly delicious place. The soups, sandwiches, divine baked goods, the little kids mesmerized by the unique cookies on display, the helpful waitresses add up to a marvelous experience every time we go there. Lucky to have you and your restaurant right here in Saugerties! Judy and Allen Murphy
