I got in late, the man and woman at the desk were really nice. I told them about my hassle crossing the border and the man gave me a bigger room and said i needed it for the hassle to get a good night's sleep. Comfortable beds, and everything works as it should. My room is very clean and comfortable overall. I would stay again.

it was absolute garbage, there was mold in the rooms, no one at the front desk at any time, no toilet paper in the bathrooms, beds that should have been replaced 10 years ago. i would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend this place to anybody even if it has cheap deals i expected at least toilet paper in the bathrooms but they couldn't even do that properly.

We booked this hotel through expedia while driving, as we wanted a quick check-in since we'd been driving for hours and had a young child with us. When we arrived there was only a few cars in the parking lot but the sign on the door said "no vacancy - online reservations only, please ring the bell for service". A lady came to the door looking like I’d disturbed her from sleeping (yet it was only 8:30pm). I asked for a cot or crib for my child and she said they do not have any cots (odd for a hotel). She then said, “you don’t have any pets do you?” I said yes I did, a small dog, and that’s why we chose this hotel as we needed a quick place to stay for the night before continuing our drive the next day. She informed me that she’d have to put me at the back of the hotel as the manager refused pets and she didn’t want them to see. She then told me that I couldn’t access my room from outside, I’d have to walk through the hotel. When I asked for directions, she said “never mind, drive around back and I’ll let you in the door to your room”. So the whole place looked like a ghost town, completely empty, yet we were given a room as far away as possible. The next morning we were getting ready to leave at 5am. I wanted to go to the desk to check out but there were no signs in the hallway pointing towards the office so I had a very creepy walk through the hotel trying to find it. When I finally found it, the sign on the door said “office closed until X”. So I just left our keys in the room and hoped we wouldn’t be charged anything extra, as they did not seem very trust worthy. The entire experience was the most strange experience we’d ever had in hotels, and we’ve had several stays all over North America. Yes, the hotel is dated and not the cleanest, but when we are just stopping for a few hours to get some sleep, we know what we’re booking for the price. I urge the owners of Howard Johnson to look into this hotel, as they are really giving the company a bad name.

Very accommodating. Friendly service. GREAT COFFEE. NICE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. Keep in mind it is an older hotel but still had all uou would need for a comfortable stay. Clean well kept rooms but again dated. I would stay again. If traveling on a budget or don't mind dated but clean accommodations this is an excellent choice.

Our reception was not great but the owners, Sam and Mary made up for it and our stay was great over-all. They don't smile often but when they do, their smiles light up the room. They work very hard. They offer a mostly cold breakfast and we enjoyed most of the fare offered. The Inn is dated but we were not expecting 5 stars. We were happy with our room excepting for the carpeting. That definitely should go. (it smells damp. Rm 116). We found the beds comfy and we liked one of the housekeeping staff (she works hard and was very good to us). We had a continuous flow of air but it was a tad too warm at night. When we return to Cornwall we will stay at Ho Jo's for sure.
