White Rock Motel

It is very obvious that Tracy, the owner takes quite pride in ownership of this motel. It was the cleanest we have ever stayed in and the room was updated with newer windows, bathroom fixtures and flooring. The beds were very comfortable. It was also nice and quiet, we didn’t hear a thing from the rooms that were occupied next door. The cost was great and the service was very prompt, friendly and helpful in recommending places to eat. We prefer staying in the smaller privately owned motels, especially when traveling by motorcycle and this is the absolute best we have encountered in our many years and miles of traveling. I highly recommend this gem of a motel and wished that we frequented the area more often, but for sure if we we are in the area again, this will be our place of choice.

Overall: A Good stay for an excellent value. Pros: Amazing Staff. Very Courteous Professional. Very accommodating for letting us arrive early and leave a bit late. Clean Beds Mini-Fridge kept our left overs cold. A/C Worked like a charm. Cons: Cable TV had lots of stations that just had error messages and that they were not available. Tub was stained/bleached I now know they tried to clean it

I very recently visited the White Rock Motel for a second time; this time for 3 nights. The first time, also recently, was for 2 nights, when I had the pleasure of meeting the motel's manager, Vivianne. She'll personally give you ice in a small ice bucket if you ask! This time, however, I had the joy of meeting the longtime owner, Tracey. Whoa! This classy lady is well traveled—make no mistake about it. Ask her about it. We must have talked for hours. Tracey also gave me tips, incidentally, on buying or financing and caring for a Mercedes-Benz. Nice car! I loved the motel's gorgeous gazebo, too. I also met two lovely and courteous staff from housekeeping: one from Ukraine and one from Syria. Whenever you can, and as appropriate, don't forget to tip housekeeping! Feels good, too. Every word Cheryl Sleeman wrote in her review were the exact words I was going to write. My daughter Claire and I loved it there so much that we were sad to leave and look forward to our next visit. Beautiful room and very quiet and spotless. I worked in hotel customer service and maintenance and even hotel inspections for Marriott most of my career and I was wowed by this place. I stayed at the Whiterock Motel following a car accident, not having a vehicle to get home. I called Vivian from the tow truck and she made sure to hold my room, even without a credit card at that time. When my partner and I arrived, we were greeted with courteous service and a nice restaurant recommendation where you can receive a discount by showing the room key. We also didn't know how many nights we'd need to stay, but we were given the flexibility to decide just before checkout on the first night: A+. The room itself was very clean, renovated and isolated from other rooms. Only minor downside was that many of the channels on the TV are not accessible. Overall I'd definitely stay here again when passing through Alexandria, hopefully in better circumstances!

By far the nicest motel experience we've had on short notice the friend of house staff was able to accommodate our late arrival time and they keep an extremely tidy, clean and well fitted units. 100% would recommend when traveling on a budget.

Kind staff and it's also a nice room, no sounds heard from other rooms. Only issue was with a uncleaned coffee pot that had moldy coffee and food on the phone receiver, once brought up it was promptly taken care of. The price is fair as well, may go back in the future someday.Rooms: 4/5
