Picked up my mobile order here. Store appears to be closed and all lights out at front, even though there was still one entire hr advertised before closing. Order bag feels very light and the portion does not feel right. Popcorn chicken is about 1/3 volume of the bag, yam fries size about right. The taste overall is somehow about average but chicken meat felt like old or refried, does not value my money. Business owner, you may increase the menu price to offset the inflation whatever you see fit, I totally understand, but from a consumer point of view, if I don't get me filled in one order, why do I want to come back?
Food was probably 2-3 stars had some spicy chicken it was hot and fresh and exactly what we expected. I should have been concerned that lunch time and every other restaurant in the area was busy but this one was empty. Service was mediocre but when you go to pay there is a sign that you need to tip in order to eat in?????? That’s a 1 star review at best! Give good service with great food and I’ll be happy to tip you but NEVER demand or expect one.
Ordered popcorn chicken Bento. Price was approx $12 but the portion is smaller now. My 9 year old son finished the whole thing. Chicken was a bit dry.
Avoid this dishonest and disgusting place. Ordered through Ubereats for pickup and arrived restaurant early. Staffs were talking to each other in Chinese :" Today's chicken size is too big, I am going to have a bite." "Customer is already here, how are you going to do that." Ended up taking out some of what they already put in for my order and hiding it at counter.
I'm always a fan of some good fried chicken. The place is known for the large fried chicken with spicy seasoning. This brings back memories of being out at the night market in Taiwan. The texture is nice and not to crisp. The seasoning gave it a decent flavor. I would like to try the stuffed cheese one next time.
Chicken was fantastic, along with their Yuzu Soda ..but the French Fries were extremely undercooked, not seasoned very well and pretty much raw. Not sure what happened there, as it wasn't very busy ..but I would not reccomend that side. Just stick with the chicken and their drinks, and you should be good Also, that mandatory tipping on dine-in ..that made me LOL!
For $12-13 a piece of fried chicken, it’s a bit pricy for sure. However, it taste way better than Big G. The skin actually stays together. I think it’s a little shorter though but 10” is still impressive. It is chicken breast, so they did a good job to not make it dry. Servers are very helpful and got a free coke on soft pending promo. The food speed is slower than I thought, maybe that’ll make people think it’s fresh. Good stuff!
Large and thick cut of juicy breast meat with bone included, helping to keep the flavours in. Seasoning is noticeably lighter than the ones I’ve had in Taiwan—maybe a matter of staff training rather than different formula. Price is more than 3x that of Taiwan NTD70 / CAD3, however, the cost of living, lease, and wages are far greater here in comparison so it’s understandable plus despite measuring about the same length and width, the Taiwan version is noticeably sliced thinner by half so you are getting less overseas in that sense. It’s not far off from trendy fish&chips pricing but more filling. During their soft opening weeks, they offer a free can of pop with each large chicken purchase as advertised up on their menu screen, however, the staff don’t tell you about it until you ask for it yourself. I suspect some customers overlook the offer and end up paying for a separate drink instead.
Largest popcorn chicken you’ll likely ever buy. Same batter as popcorn chicken. Fries taste kind of too buttery. Unique drinks but pretty pricey for sweet syrup water...where’s the carbonation if it’s a soda? Combo number 2 = $18.01 including tax. Should feed 8 people as a snack. Lol. We ate one combo for two people and now gonna have a heart attack after this meal. Not for the faint of heart but overall it sure is one XXL good fried chicken. Ummm need a Costco sized bucket of ketchup with this chicken!! Two packets ain’t gonna cut it. Lol. They should have a dip and seasoning salts bar for this chicken. BYO water.
