Now that my favorite place in town is closed I'm shopping for a new favorite Chinese restaurant. I would go back for the wanton soup. The broth had an amazing peppery flavour and the wanton itself was very tasty, I didn't ask but I think it might have been beef. The lemon chicken was nice, much better than other places I've been, but so far no one has come close to my old favorite spot. The sweet and sour pork batter was a little over done. The portions are large, younger me would have been happy with it, older me gets two meals out of it. With tip included it was just over $20.00/person. The waitress was nice. Parking: There is ample parking including right in front of the restaurant.
Awesome ginger beef , large chunks that you can actually tell are beef . Sesame chicken sauce delicious with right amount of spice . Veggies crisp in chow mein . Large portions ! We are quite pleased and we will be ordering from Hong Kong House again!
So greasy and overcooked the oil is definitely way over due for a change. We also found an object that was definitely not food. AHS needs to look in their kitchen. Never again!
Best selection on the menu.. Feels like you will want to order almost everything. Tastes great specially their Siomai & fried rice! Customer service is the best.! Keep it up!
Hong Kong house is the only Chinese food restaurant I've ever seen that's open til 3am. 2 up for their dedication. Only problem was they forgot to send any sweet & sour sauce for the chicken balls Kid-friendliness: They are very friendly
Chow mein was dripping with grease. Tasted like old oil. The Kung Pau chicken tasted like an expired cold jar of chilli sauce from the fridge poured over it. After two spoonfuls we could not stomach this garbage. My wife is Chinese and we lived in Vancouver so are accustomed to Chinese cuisine. I couldn't wait to go home to brush my teeth and get rid of the greasy aftertaste from that mess they pass off as chow mein.
Food was weird tasting , the wontons tasted gross!! Never tasted a wonton like that in my life!! Food was dry, no taste, only plus was they r open later than most restaurants! But i wont be eating here again
Was very tasteless, there was a bone in the centre of my chicken ball, food was not hot despite using an insulated bag on the way home. Disappointing meal for my daughters birthday.
Was pretty good! We ordered the 3 person combo dinner, I substituted the fried rice for chicken chow mein and added on almond chicken. Food was really good, the chow mein noodles were really skinny. There was a container of gravy in our order for some weird reason? Huge portions, prices are the same as all the other chinese places-haha! I am not from Grande Prairie and got it delivered to where I was staying, would defenitly recommend and order again on my next visit!
My meal for one was huge and ready really quick , full of flavor too the ginger beef was fantastic , super friendly will definitely be backFood: 5/5
