Loved this place when I came in November last year, was very nice this time as well but sad they took away lobster potatoes. They did make me a version of it but it tasted better when had before. I might not have been feeling the seafood as much this visit. Steak was delicious as well as wings. Service was great and got free desert for my birthday! Still one my favorite restaurants here! Ribs were over 30 and my steak was 28 with 9 dollars for the lobster mixture, definitely higher prices meal but still very yummy. Total was over a hundred for two people, two apps 15$, two dishes.
I LOVED EVERYTHING! I’d give them 10 stars if I could! Food was on point ! Drink was perfect, food was awesome and dessert great! Service amazing too!! I’d definitely come back .
Decent food, reasonably quickly. Helpful staff. You'll be happier with it if you're a burgers person though. I'm afraid there's a but: things seem to get wobbly when children are involved. They charge sugar tax on ordinary plain water, which they say is government policy. Worse, their child menus at the time had out of date prices, which they are clear they are absolutely not going to warn people about. They'll refund the difference if you ask, but only if you ask, and almost nobody does. All this was confirmed with and by their supervisor. It's a real shame, because it does spoil the experience a bit.
Beautiful atmosphere with an amazing server who went over the top to make my wife's birthday special! Thank you to the staff that provided the delicious meals. Highly recommend the Sirloin Bites to start!
My wife and I actually had part of our first date here nearly fifteen years ago, and it's still pretty good. The garlic parmesan fries are definitely worth a try.
Last things first, the warm sticky toffee pudding is one of the best desserts I've had. It's not too sweet, which is how I like my desserts. Even after a huge meal of steak and beer, I wiped my plate of the pudding clean. The sirloin I had was cooked to instruction and the traditional rub of the steak appealed to me over my friend's gaucho style filet mignon. Both their in-house beers, antler ale and Big horn lager, appealed to me as well. After the meal I really wanted to have a third glass but had no space to accommodate one! PS: Amazing, prompt and pleasant service made the whole experience brighter.
This was my first visit to any mr.mikes We ordered two beers one red ale and one pale ale. Both turned out to be wonderful with a great body and texture. The gaucho style sirloin steak with blackening spice, garlic parmesan fries, fresh vegetables and chimichurri sauce was a treat. Fillet mignon, served in traditional style with garlic mashed potato and fresh vegetables was best of the kind I had. Then comes the show stopper, the dessert, WARM STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING was one of the best desserts I ever had in my life. The service was excellent so does the ambience of the restaurant. It was a great experience.
The consistency from MR. Mikes is actually very impressive. From Edmonton to Grande Prairie and other locations I’ve tasted. I must say it’s identical and always on point. Location are always clean. This particular location is very safe during covid, have automatic doors and hand sanitizer everywhere. The waiters are very courteous and always smiling. Absolutely the best service in the city. Hands down the best server in the city is Billy. I will always ask to sit in his section. I get to hear how he interacts with his other customers and I am so impressed. He is the lost art of what Customer service is all about. Many people can learn from him. I will continue to go to Mr. Mikes because of him. Not to mention the food is so great and always so consistent. Parking: still parking available on a busy friday night
This restaurant always exceeds my expectation. The price is great for the portions you get and if you happen to be there during happy hour they have a huge selection of appetizers and drinks to choose from. Happy hour on Thursdays they also have Mike burgers on special and if your looking for a place that won't break the bank for a nice date night the atmosphere is great and music isn't to load so you can enjoy each other's conversation.
